Slavic people were never involved in black african enslavement or colonialism so why would slavic people want to be included in the white group? Slavic people could just call themselves ethnically slavic and therefore not white.

1. Please, stop using "Caucasian" as racial designation. Outside USA when somebody says "Caucasian" pictures of aggressive bearded types who happily cut off heads for the glory of Allah are invoked. If you like to be a Caucasian, then at least care to sport a proper beard. Using antiquated terms like this is telling enough.
2. Slavery existed (and still exists!) since ancient times. The medieval slavery was akin to Roman slavery and it is different from what they had in the colonies in the "New World". Europeans were taking other Europeans and non-Europeans as slaves, Arabs and Turks were doing the same and so did the Mongols and the Africans (primary among themselves). Europe was settled and had serfs (another form of slavery) to work the fields, this is where the difference comes from.
3. Many of the people living of the USA came after the abolition. In fact, many white people came to USA as a kind of slaves. They arrival was arranged under the conditions to work for few years for their masters and they were often threated like trash. Surely, blacks were threated even worse, but a slave is a slave. Only the tiny fraction of wealthy people were owners of these black and white slaves.
4. Citing what Mussolini or Hitler thought about different races is absurd. It just happened that these people (in particular Slavs) inhabited territories the fascists coveted and race theories were made up as a propaganda to justify wars. We see it today when Putin says that Ukrainians are sort of historical mistake.
5. It is absurd to try to instill guilt in white people and victimizing the blacks for these things. See the Spaniards - they were also using black slaves in their plantations and went a bit genocidal in South America, but today they seem to be pretty chill about it and nobody is pointing the finger at them. Trying to divide society across racial lines instead of class lines is a bad, bad idea.
I agree, generally speaking. The worst possible thing that could happen to the Democrat Party is good race relations. Dems have embraced ideas that aren't popular in black and brown culture so they stoke the fires of racial tension and create distrust. GOP uses the same tactic, create division, create political allies that are so afraid of the other tribe they hold their nose and vote for crappy candidates.

Finally, someone gets it! Race theories are always about justifying something. They were used to justify slavery during the Atlantic slave trade and now used to maintain a present day race-based hierarchy.

Divide and conquer strategy. Almost never fails. The rich stoke racial hatred among the lower classes which allows them to avoid blame for worsening standard of living for most people and further enrich themselves.
White indentured servants and black slaves were united at one point and would fight together against their masters or help each other escape. The rich created a wedge between them. Same with Blacks and Native-Americans who often joined forces. Native-Americans were encouraged to own slaves and become abusive in order to divide the two groups and see each other as enemies except that didn't work as planned.
Agree, it's the lesser intelligence of lower classes that sre taken advantage of by the rich and powerful.
