Ethan Crumbley was identified by officials as the Oxford High School shooting suspect who authorities allege killed four students and injured six other students and one teacher who suffered minor injuries on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald announced in a press conference Wednesday afternoon that Crumbley, 15, is being charged as an adult with four counts of first-degree murder, one count of terrorism causing death, seven counts of assault with intent to murder and 12 counts of possession of a firearm in commission of a felony. She said other charges may be filed. The suspect’s arraignment, where he appeared in an anti-suicide smock, was held December 1, 2021.

The weapon used in the shooting was purchased by the suspect’s dad, James Crumbley, on Black Friday, officials said Tuesday night. The suspect’s mother is Jennifer Crumbley.

The deceased victims were identified on the day of the shooting as 17-year-old Madisyn Baldwin, 14-year-old Hana St. Juliana and 16-year-old Tate Myre, officials said. A fourth victim, 17-year-old Justin Shilling, died a day after the shooting.

She said that the public has become desensitized to school shootings, and that she has been thinking about the parents who said goodbye to their children Tuesday morning, expecting they would be safe.

Crumbley was being held as a juvenile in the hours after the shooting while McDonald reviewed the case. The Detroit News and other Michigan news outlets did not initially name the suspect but referenced an archive article leading to his identification, which McDonald confirmed.

Oakland County Undersheriff Michael McCabe said at a November 30 press conference that they received about 100 calls to 911 reporting an active shooter at the high school just before 1 p.m. Parents were alerted through a school alert system, and several parents reported receiving frantic calls and texts from their children.

Oxford is a small village about 30 miles north of Detroit with a population of less than 3,400 people.

Tsk tsk. Do I say white rage? Usual suspects is reserved for another group.

Liberal policies and ideology, along with the mainstream media conspire to create these monsters. When God was in school, kids were disciplined, parents were responsible and criminals were held accountable, this shit didn't happen. The media makes the little bastards into celebrities, which only encourages the next one.

reply

GQP gives guns to criminals, crazies and kiddies.

reply

I don't know who the GQP is but it's illegal for convicted felons, the mentally unstable and children to buy a firearm. In fact, the only one I know of that gives guns to criminals, crazies and kiddies is Joe Biden. Instead of disarming American citizens, let's hold his feet to the fire for giving 400,000 machineguns to the Taliban.

reply

War started by the GOP and ended by Trump giving up and inviting the Taliban for lunch while couching for their good character.

"Instead of disarming American citizens"
You sound like the gun nut crackpot your trigger-happy GQP party represents.

reply

The sheer volume of utter bullshit that you post is impressive.

reply

It's unfortunate there's no voting system here. These guys would be downvoted into oblivion.

PsychoNerd and his parents aren't cooperating with authorities...that's a bit sus, is it not?

reply

I guess God wasn’t in school yesterday

Oakland County Prosecutor McDonald:

“Hopefully, we are going to start an ongoing conversation on gun control and move the needle,” she said.”

Oh, stop it with the gun control crap! Look at the kid! Why did he do it? It’s not the damn guns doing the murders…it’s the person pulling the trigger! 10 to 1 he was bullied and/or on Ritalin.

These stupid idiotic comments solve nothing. We had gun clubs in high school and guys walking to school with their rifles slung on their shoulders! Never a thought to aim it at another! We didn’t have school shootings so stop it with the gun control mantra you nitwit!

Edit: I read about his mother. She sounds like a real trip! A few screws loose.

reply

The GQP arms crazies, criminals and kiddies.

Yeah, the parents are fucked up in the head. Dad buying him a pistol days before. Mom loling when he was looking at ammo purchases during class. They're on the run now apparently but appeared for a Zoom meeting for their son.

Regarding the list of school shootings the following could be a contributor:

”The First Use of Ritalin as a Means to Treat ADHD Symptoms

In the 1980s and a lot more so in the 1990s, the use of Ritalin spiked enormously and the reasons for this were somewhat controversial. An advocacy group known as Children and Adults with Attention Deficit (CHADD) were proponents of Ritalin and actually received funding from CIBA, the company that made it at the time. So you can see there is somewhat of a conflict of interest there, CHADD wanted relief from ADHD and Ritalin was promoted as capable of doing just that. A PBS show called The Merrow Report aired in 1995 and stated they had found prescriptions (in the millions by then already) were doubling every two years.”

We need more meditation 😇, not Ritalin.

You are so correct. When my hyper-active very bright grandson was in the 4th grade he couldn’t sit still. He was bored. This was a kid who put LEGOS together when he was a year old. My husband had him playing a game on the old computer when he was 18 months old. If he was interested in something you only had to show him one time. His brain was remarkable for soaking in information which interested him.

Anyhow, the teacher requested (demanded) something needed to be done to control him. He didn’t do anything bad, but as I wrote he was bored so he would leave his seat. The school authorities wanted him to be prescribed Ritalin. My daughter told them flat out “NO”! She wasn’t going to dope him so he would sit like a good little soldier. Then the threat came. Social Services and Child Welfare were going to get involved. They paid a visit, but the answer was still no. She had made an appointment with a psychologist who would make the decision. His diagnosis: the kid didn’t need Ritalin. He just needed to be challenged. My grandson would never even think to harm someone. He has a caring heart. I am so relieved my daughter had the backbone to say “NO”!

Update:

Parents of the Oakland County, Michigan 15-year-old suspect in the Oxford High School shooting on November 30 have been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Local law enforcement confirmed the parents of the student met with school officials about their son's behavior and mental health just hours before the fatal shooting. Three teenage victims – ranging in age from 14 to 17 – were identified late Tuesday by local authorities, while a fourth teenager died on Wednesday from his wounds, according to national and local news outlets. Update 2:

https://www.wxyz.com/news/oakland-county-fugitive-team-searching-for-parents-of-suspected-oxford-high-school-shooter-after-charges-filed-against-them

Sources are telling 7 Action News that James and Jennifer Crumbley have been taken into custody on Detroit's east side. They were taken into custody near St. Paul and Concord.

The revelation comes just hours after 7 Action News learned police found the car the parents of Ethan Crumbley may have been traveling in. The couple's black 2021 Kia Seltos SUV with the Michigan license plate number DQG 5203 was reportedly found in the 1100 block of Bellvue on the east side of Detroit.

At this point, we have no information that the couple has been located. A large police presence is on the scene, searching the area centered on E. Lafayette, between E. Grand Boulevard and Mt. Elliott.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says they are actively searching for the fugitive parents of the suspected 15-year-old shooter in the Oxford High School tragedy.

James Crumbley and Jennifer Crumbley are each facing four counts of involuntary manslaughter. The suspect's father purchased the gun that was used in the deadly school shooting.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Department's fugitive team, the FBI, and the U.S. Marshals Office are all involved in the search. The Marshals have offered a $10,000 reward for information in the case.

I cannot believe we are at the point where innocent gun owners are being arrested because their kid went off the deep end. Instead of going after the parents attempt to determine why the kid took a firearm and murdered 4 students and injuring others.

I was raised around firearms. My dad had his rifles hanging on a wall. I never touched them. I walked to school with guys who had their rifles slung over their shoulder for their gun club.

reply

The parents could have not parented the kid well, and for all we know they could have allowed him access to that firearm. Innocent until proven guilty but in the end the parents do need to be looked at when a kid goes off the deep end. It does not also bode well for them that they are fleeing what are they running for?

You were raised probably with a stable home environment, not a lot of kids are raised by stable people. I was raised around firearms as well but my parents were also stable people. Unfortunately not everyone gets the luxury of a stable home environment.

reply

We can’t always blame the parents. Was the kid bullied. Was he on a Ritalin? My home was far from stable, but we didn’t dare cross Dad. As I wrote his rifles were hanging on the wall as you entered the back door. One day I had a few friends over and one of the guys was impressed with the rifles. He touched one, but I stopped him. I told him no one touches my dad’s rifles. He apologized and that was it. When Dad got home from work apparently the glare from the light hit the rifle. “Who’s been handling my guns?” He had noticed the fingerprints! LOL!

This scares the bejeebies out of me! The fact that parents can be arrested if their kid gets hold of their firearm. Naturally you want them out of reach of small children, but good grief you shouldn’t have to have them under lock and key with teenagers. The way things are going I’m beginning to come around to the weapons being tied to the owner. No one else can fire them. What is the purpose of having a weapon for defense if you have to fumble with a lock, retrieve the ammo from another place then load the weapon? When there s a home invasion you wouldn’t have time to be prepared. My deceased husband had a firearm within reach of his chair every night.

reply

I did not say the parents were always to blame. It does not look good for them though when they are fleeing the scene. I think the biggest issue with parents these days is they do not teach their kids boundaries or respect. Even if parents are not stable at least make an effort to teach your kids about respect and boundaries. Lots of parents let their kids run the show. That is my whole point you had that healthy fear of okay do not mess with dad or else! Now of course this can be to an unhealthy degree if the dad is super abusive but there needs to be that amount of awareness in a kid that man if I cross that line I am in trouble! Lots of kids do not have that boundary and go in life with no fear of any kind of consequence. That is not how the real world works. Now sometimes you have parents that are stable, teach good things and their kid still goes off the deep end. Then you have awful parents who have really good kids. In any case like I stated it does not bode well for them the way they are behaving.

Well that is just it if you want your guns to be within a reasonable reach you need to teach your kid respect and boundaries. Not lots of people do that these days which it is why people have to put them in a safe or whatever.

How many White people were committing mass shootings in the 1950s? Gun laws were relaxed and America was much more "racist" than today. But there was no White guilt, White people were allowed to have an identity and weren't demonized, no pornography, religion was stronger, depression was lower, crime was lower, divorce rates were lower and according to polls Americans were just as happy as today despite no I phones and lower standard of living. It seems to me the problems accelerated when the liberals took over the culture in the 1960s.

reply

True to all of the above, but you forgot a very important happening. Civil Rights and giving Blacks the right to vote. Up until then it wasn’t pleasant for Blacks. If we could have the mores of the ‘50’s with everyone being equal I would pull the lever on the time machine. I’m White and lived through those turbulent times. The problem being though, instead of everyone finally being equal the liberals over compensated. The adage “Give an inch, take a mile” comes into play.

The Viet Nam fiasco perpetrated by LBJ was the beginning of the end of a great country. He should have been charged with war crimes! Over 50,000 names on a black wall due to his lie!

reply

We simply had different problems in the past. That was not a pleasant time for black people during that time.

reply

That was not a pleasant time for black people during that time.

It didn't need to be.

reply

Why would it not need to be? The fact that they had no right to vote was an injustice because they were not treated equal.

reply

And how is that community going these days now that they are allowed to vote?

reply

So you saying they should not have the right to vote then? Should we go back to that way of thinking?

reply

They can live in their own communities away from White "racism".

reply

Go ahead and arrange that then.

reply

I'm trying.

reply

Once that happens get back to me.

reply

Just because something is difficult to achieve doesn't mean it's a bad idea.

reply

Where did I say that? I said once that happens get back to me.

reply

Thanks for admitting it's not a bad idea then.

reply

Nor did I admit it was not a bad idea. You have a habit of placing words in people's mouth huh? I know that will not happen. So I will reiterate get back to me when that happens, I will not hold my breath.

reply

America is more segregated today than it was in the 1960s. Blacks today themselves demand segregation. And you can't even blame them since they are constantly told they are oppressed by Whites. It's not so unrealistic as you think.

reply

As I said before, get back to me once that happens.

reply

Don't forget more isolation in the past as well unlike today where we're all more or less digitally connected and can speak to even the most deranged of folks in the country at the comfort of your own home.
