I heard this on the news this morning and burst out in laughter.
The country has a transportation crisis under Democrat control. Truck drivers and ports are facing large back logs.
And where is the head of transportation ? He is on maternity leave...

And this is not pointing out the fact that Pete butt has zero experience in transportation.

I think maternity/paternity leave should be for couples who actually give birth. I thought it was for women who had to deal with big bellies, swollen ankles, mood swings and constant cravings for ice cream. These two queers didn't give birth so it wasn't a grueling ordeal. They signed the paperwork and picked up the two kids. I could see Bootyjudge taking a couple weeks off but he's been on paternity leave since the middle of August.

He is a figurehead of the transportation department . . .if you think that means his absence stops the transportation department from doing their job, you need to take a civics class.
Pete doesn't have a background in transportation. Betsy DeVos Former United States Secretary of Education, didn't have a background in education when she was appointed by Trump. This is how politics works. It's ridiculous.
I believe in science but I never considered psychology a science. There is a debate over whether psychology is a social science or science or whatever.
Bootyjudge isn't a figurehead. He can overrule the career officials who work at the transportation department. He also could redirect agency resources to take on an emerging crisis.
Trump should not be the standard since he didn't know what he was doing. Trump tended to appoint critics of agencies to lead the agencies they hated or wanted to dismantle. Rick Perry was appointed as Energy Secretary even though he wanted to get rid of the Department of Energy. Betsy DeVos was similar since she wanted to send public money to private schools. Ben Carson is a gifted surgeon but he had no business being HUD secretary.
