My main point is that vaccine mandates should not be implemented when the vaccine does not provide 100% protection. Initially, the vaccines were supposed to prevent infection and transmission. Once the vaccine failed to provide that level of protection, the vaccines were promoted for their ability to prevent hospitalization and death. We now see that these vaccines do not prevent hospitalization and death so they should not be mandatory.
There is a lot of money being made by these supposed vaccines and this is just the beginning. mRNA technology can be used for any number of conditions. Big pharma wants to make lots of money by using mRNA technology for other ailments. Big pharma will also reward the politicians and government officials with campaign contributions and jobs.
My main point is that vaccine mandates should not be implemented when the vaccine does not provide 100% protection.

Polio is 100% but it does appear that many of them are not 100%. MMR provides 97% protection against measles/rubella while mumps is only 88%. These vaccines have been tested over time and there haven't many major side effects. The covid vaccines have not been adequately tested and the side effects are unknown. There is also a debate about whether the mRNA covid vaccines are actually vaccines instead of gene therapy.
I would say that seatbelts have been adequately tested over time. There isn't much of a debate over side effects of wearing a seat belt. There are still plenty of people who don't like wearing seatbelts. I'd prefer to stay on topic instead of addressing various forms of whataboutism.

I don't think it's possible to have a conversation about a mandated safety precaution such as the COVID vaccine and not bring in other vaccines or safety measures which have been mandated over the years. AS I've asked before - is the resistance political for the COVID vax or is it habitual where the person has long opposed mandated safety measures ?

The seatbelt protests were back in the eighties and nineties. Most of the states passed seatbelt laws by the nineties. The penalty for not wearing a seatbelt is under $100 but the penalty for the unvaccinated is termination from employment, ineligibility for unemployment benefits, bans from venues and more is to come. There is no comparison between the seatbelt laws and the vaccine mandates.
