Covid exposed the weakness in MAGA's ability to adjust to handle a national problem. MAGA is fine when everything is going well. They can pretend they made America great just by piggybacking off of Obama's recovered economy. But when it comes time to doing something real that isn't just tax cuts for the wealthy, MAGA trips and falls.
Now MAGA has to fight not just the dem establishment but also the repub establishment because the repub establishment realizes MAGA isn't the 2016 titan they thought it was.
It won't be long until it's just the dem and repub establishment going head to head, and with MAGA/Trumpism deflated, most of the culture war crap will dissipate along with it.

Only 300,000? There were tens of millions of cases when Biden was inaugurated. Trump surpassed 350,000 starting at zero cases.

actually according to the google covid death rate count, the second decline happened after people starting getting the Trump vaccine, which was around Feb, then around July 4 when dementia Joe said it would be safe to go outside again, it slowly started going up, and now that there is no lockdown and 100,000 people are allowed to comingle at stadiums, the death count is averaging 2,800 people a day. but thats ok now because dementia Joe is Pres, and no one cares about the spreading of the most deadly man made virus in history, it even mutated and now is starting to kill kids, and we are sending millions of kids back to school. dems dont seem to care anymore because they got what they wanted.

There's people who want it - we see them at Trump rallies, the Jan. 6th riot, and dozens of riots last summer - but there aren't enough of them and they don't have enough power to make a real play for power.
That being said, if there was ever some serious progress, I wouldn't be shocked if more joined in. The public is a mob. That mob mentality sets in QUICK. 1000s of people rioted last summer. They even managed to burn down a police station and courthouse, and take over a part of a city (Portland). It didn't last, but they tried.
The violence you cited from the summer of 2020 was committed by Communist Democrat voters, in Democrat cities in Democrat states.
