If you could and HAD to choose, if you were having a child, would you chose for them to be gay or straight?

Since most people want their genes, DNA and family name passed onto the future.
They should choose the natural way.

Choosing the other way means you are choosing not to reproduce.

Your genes will stop with you if you chose gay

I agree that the "grand child" issue would be a lot simpler but a gay man can knock up a female for procreation just as a gay woman can get pregnant by a man for the same reason. ALSO, there's the whole sperm donor thing or other needlessly complicated ways if the parties involved just WON'T have sex with someone of the opposite sex. I think all of that can have very negative side effects on the child, btw.

Yes , but you need an advanced civilization that can transfer sperm.
It's not a natural process.

And gays can sleep with others for procreation. But then they are going against their beliefs and makes it look like an even more unnatural choice.

I would just want them to be happy. However I would never pay for them to have gender reassignment surgery, when you’re that young you don’t know who you are yet and that is too big of a decision for someone that young to make. When they turn 18 they can do what they want.
