We've got this weird predicament in Los Angeles where they just elected someone from the Public Defender's office to be the District Attorney. There had been a Democrat Black Woman, but apparently she wasn't tough enough on cops.

So this new dude is really pro-perpetrator, and one of the things (I've only heard, might not be true) is that he's doing away with "hate-crime" enhancements on crimes. I had just assumed those were confined to white criminals (and rare at that) but maybe these were being used for Black-on-Mexican and Mexican-on-Black crimes (which is a big thing here.)

Attacks like this are a dime a dozen and rarely are reported.
And what's worse. They are arrested, but never prosecuted. You want to talk about being given a second chance.
Go to a NY court for entertainment.
The judges dont even know what to do with these people. 10 chances and they are back before the judge

The only positive is that she injured him. He should be extremely embarrassed hitting an elderly women.

I still believe it's much worst for a young man to attack an elderly woman. And she's likely blind in one eye! Pure evil.

The police likely arrested the wrong person which is why charges were dropped.

If we can deprogram idiots from repeating Trump's racist scapegoating rhetoric than these racist vile attacks would end. So far, his hate has lead to attacks on Muslims, Jews, Hispanics, newsreporters, politicians, the Capitol, police, blacks, peaceful demonstrators, clergy and now Asian-Americans.

How come the conversation is always changed from racism? Obviously, sexism played a role, too.

All victims and their families should be supported. Their killer should be charged with murder and hate crime instead of being forgiven because "he was having a bad day "
