Teens face homicide charges in rape, murder of Ee Lee

MILWAUKEE - Two Milwaukee teenagers face homicide charges in the September 2020 rape and murder of Ee Lee, brutally beaten and left for dead in Washington Park.

Kamare Lewis, 17, and Kevin Spencer, 15 each face one count of first-degree intentional homicide, as party to a crime and one count of first-degree sexual assault (great bodily harm), as party to a crime.

Lee was found Sept. 16, 2020 in Washington Park by "bystanders," still breathing but unconscious, severely beaten and left for dead. She was undressed below the waist, indicating sexual assault. She suffered severe contusions to the face/head. A hospital examination confirmed the sex assault.

She died Sept. 19 due to blunt force trauma to her head.

A criminal complaint said video showed five to six people potentially involved in the crime running from the area. It appeared Lee had been taken from a blanket to a tree, where the sexual assault occurred. She was then dragged to the edge of the pond and left for dead. Based on the video, investigators learned it was "probably teenage boys or young men associated with each other" who were involved.

Video from the Washington Park Library showed 11 people leaving the park -- six in a group on bicycles; five in a separate group, some on bikes and others on foot. One was Lewis, prosecutors say.

One of the "bystanders" who called 911 after finding Lee's body was determined to have actually been in the park during the assault, the complaint said, walking with several subjects, including Lewis and Spencer. When confronted with that information, prosecutors said the witness gave a "detailed statement" to indicate Lewis and Spencer beat Lee and forced her to perform sex acts. The witness said video was later viewed on Lewis's phone showing Lewis and Spencer hitting her as she lay on the ground.

The second person who found the body said he witnessed Lewis "hitting (Lee) with tree branches and punching her in the face" while Spencer also beat the victim.

After the beating, he said, "Spencer told Kamare to put her in the water and Kamare was dragging her to the water."...

Europeans didn't have to steal any Native-American land nor enslave millions of Africans. Nor did Europeans have to rape African and Native-American women, commit genocide against indigenous people and create discriminatory laws based solely on melanon.

But, Europeans committed those crimes anyway.

African tribes enslaved their own people long before europeans even found Africa. They sold them to the Europeans.

Europeans didn't steal or enslave anyone. They bought and sold what at the time was a legal commodity. The word at hand "legal".

Now if you wanna talk about how awful the slave trade was the that is fine and a conversation that always needs to happen.

Learn your history before you start insulting people.

African tribes enslaved their own people for centuries. When Europeans started exploring and found Africa. African slaves were used as a commodity. Now I will agree that is wrong on every level, never shoud have happened and thankfully it was stopped by Great Britain in 1833.

But make no mistake and you can call me all the names you want but you can't get away from historical fact no matter how much it hurts your little fee fees.

Aricans enslaved Africans and sold them to Europeans, that is an absolute fact because that is what happened. From that Europeans then bought and sold Africans to other nations like America.

So again say what ever insult you want. Europeans bought and sold Africans which is 100& abhorrent but they did not "steal" or "enslave" anyone, the stealing and enslaving was already done by their fellow African man.

I await your uneducated insult on the subject.

Go learn some history before you start acting like the keeper of the moral high ground.

Add another 100+ years of Jim Crow laws forbidding blacks to be employed in high-paying careers. Again, you're too dumb for words.
