shareThe lawsuits don't even cite illegal ballots. They cite being unable to identify illegal any ballots which Trump claims must exist, and so they are "worried" that observers have been illegally prevented from seeing them. Despite being allowed as much scrutiny as anyone is legally entitled to.
It's a charade. In a year or two Guliani and Co will wind up staging a mock trial on TV for the benefit of the Trumptards.
Republican insiders already know that there are no lawsuits in the pipeline that will overturn the result.
Another reason Trump will be pressured to drop his quest to keep this alive: the Georgia runoffs. The GOP doesn't want to waste time, money, and other resources on an extremely long shot effort to save Trump. They would be better off expending their efforts on the two Senate races which may determine who controls Congress. Trump doing a bitter-ender hold out act could start to cause such a stink people in Georgia and elsewhere start to turn on both Trump and the GOP. The Democrats have their voters in Georgia pumped and fired up and the GOP need to get their ground game on as soon as possible. If they can hold onto the Senate it's not a total write off for them. That's more important from their point of view (or should be). Trump is "already gone" as the Eagles song says.
