On the news they say they don't really care about him anymore than he does them, and that he's just a MOUTHPIECE for them, or a way that they can express the PENT UP RAGE and frustrations they feel about their situations (where they don't have the same ability anymore to make a decent living without getting an education as a way to do so).
So instead of placing the blame on themselves, they BLAME EVERYONE ELSE (the same way as the SCAM MAN does whenever something goes wrong).
