Another one not mentioned yet that I always crank up the volume is "Where Have All The Good Times Gone?"

I don't remember the song, but Ton Loc sampled "Jamie's Crying" in one of his songs (Wild Thing?)

Does "Beat It" count as an answer? That was really mindblowing at the time because kids who listened to Van Halen just did not listen to Michael Jackson. I don't think they played it on KLOS or KMET in Los Angeles, but they DID play it on KROQ (which did not play either Van Halen or Michael Jackson.)

I did in the sense that I mentioned the whole Diver Down album. My favorite.

Yes! I forgot to add Jamie's Cryin'! Great song.

Lot's of good songs mentioned, but this riff is nasty. Odd timing, smoky, stinky street feel. Love it!

I was quite saddened by Eddie VH's passing. Of course, rock legends never die. Their music lives on....

VH was one of my favorite bands of all time. Eddie inspired me to play guitar. But I never got nearly as good as he is. lol.

Anyhow, here's a few that I really like, from both the Hagar and Roth years -

Panama

Hot For Teacher

Amsterdam

Ain't Talkin' Bout Love

Drop Dead Legs

Summer Nights

Dance The Night Away

Don't Tell Me (what love can do)

and many more....

My favorite album is probably Balance. That is a GREAT album, it sounds so much like "VAN HALEN" yet it was recorded during the Hagar years. 1984 is really hard to beat too. So close between the two.... quite possibly the best hard rock albums of all time. 5150 is a great collection of tunes as well, which was the first album they released after Hagar joined the band.
