It is okay to steal so really we don't need the police.

It is wrong to steal when the situation can be avoided. It is okay to steal when the situation cannot be avoided. There is a line. During a pandemic of this magnitude, that line gets blurred.

It amazes me that the Dems promote and condone lawlessness and anarchy. They do it because it's all happening on Trump's watch, so they want to lay it all at his feet and make him look bad.

Tearing down statues and defacing monuments? Never mind, according to Pelosi, "People will do what they do." It's all good; we cant hurt the little snowflakes' feelings, God forbid. They have to express themselves.

Never mind that it's a crime and should be done by legislation, not mob rule.

Who, it his right mind, would choose to live in a world with no law and order? Anyone could take anything that is yours, any time they choose.

Just remember, when the rioters come down your street, they're not going to check on which house is Dem or Gop, or black or white. They'll burn and loot everyone.

The Dems don't care about that or about people. They only care about what they think will help them politically to gain power.

Trump certainly has his faults, but the thinking of the Dems will put us back in the Dark ages. What's happening is beyond belief. It's disgusting.

I saw a version of this argument way back in the seventies on All in the Family.

Archie was complaining about rioting and looting.

Mike came back with his usual one size fits all argument, "Poor people STEAL. Hungry people STEAL."

Archie shot back with (paraphrasing here), "Yeah that's why they steal. They have an overwhelming urge to eat a Pontiac!"

If you are hungry, there are many charitable organizations and food banks. I live in a very small town and even we have several. The local churches maintain food pantries.

If the situation gets dire, these folks can form a caravan and head for Hollywood. I'm sure that Streisand, Cher, Spielberg and the rest of compassionate liberal Hollywood would make room for them at their dinner tables and in their guest houses for the next six months.

Similarly, in response to AOC, Mike Huckabee said this morning, that he didn't realize all these high-end looted stores were selling bread! 🙄

You must excuse me for missing the point. I've never been into looting any stores, high or low end. I don't know what's high on the looters list of items.

Thanks for clearing that up! I am totally out of the loop when it comes to looting.

A few months ago I bought a new litter box for my cats. I like to throw out old ones and get new ones. I pulled it off a high shelf and went through the self checkout.

When I got home the plastic seemed so thick. It was then that I realized I had mistakenly taken TWO off the shelf. They were stuck together. So I peeled off the label with the bar code and took it back to the store to pay for the other one. I would've felt silly walking back in the store carrying a litter box!

The clerk was amazed that I came back to pay for it. Is honesty such a rare commodity these days?
