More corroboration for Tara Reade accusation against Biden; ex-husband discussed it in a 1996 court filing.

I'm not sure whether Biden really raped her or not, but this, along with the 1993 CNN phone call, is way more corroboration than these accusations usually have and at the very least conclusively proves that she had told various people the account soon after it allegedly happened. Interesting to note that the ex-husband, with whom she was undergoing a bad split with hard feelings, still went out of his way to point out that the Biden experience had been "traumatic" for her and he thought it was still affecting her.

"A court document from 1996 shows former Senate staffer Tara Reade told her ex-husband she was sexually harassed while working for Joe Biden in 1993...

Reade’s then-husband Theodore Dronen wrote the court declaration. Dronen at the time was contesting a restraining order Reade filed against him days after he filed for divorce, Superior Court records show.

In it, he writes Reade told him about “a problem she was having at work regarding sexual harassment, in U.S. Senator Joe Biden’s office.”...

In the filing dated March 25, 1996, Dronen testified that he met Reade in the spring of 1993 while the two worked for separate members of Congress in Washington, D.C.

Dronen wrote that Reade told him she “eventually struck a deal with the chief of staff of the Senator’s office and left her position.”

“It was obvious that this event had a very traumatic effect on (Reade), and that she is still sensitive and effected (sic) by it today,” Dronen wrote....

Dronen, who still lives in San Luis Obispo County, confirmed he wrote the declaration."

Ouch that’s brutal. Just when you thought Biden could be a worse candidate.

Democrat women are also forced to vote for him, thats sad.

reply

The only ones voting for Biden will be those who never supported the #MeToo movement and hypocrites.

Ahhh - so he'll pick up all the female Republican votes, starting with Ivanka and Melania.

Proof that all democrat women are also forced to vote for him ?

Didn't think so.

Everytime there's some sexual allegation against a public figure, I have told more than once 'if that really happened, why that person didn't tell anybody back then?'.

In the Bill Cosby case, for example, with several dozens of alleged victims making allegations, if I remind correctly, not a single one of them was able to tell anybody else. Not a single confidence or report among dozens of alleged victims.

Here we have her telling her friends. Then telling her mother. Then her mother calling a TV program in the 90s to ask about it (which is recorded). And now we have the ex-husband knowing it too and that being reported in a court document back then. One single allegation, several confidences back in the day. And a TV recording. And a judiciary report.

Just like Tucker Carlson said:

Tara Reade in 2017: Praises Biden, no longer in office, for his work against sexual assault
Tara Reade in 2019: Accuses Biden, presidential candidate, of inappropriately touching her neck and shoulders
Tara Reade in 2020: Accuses Biden, now the clear frontrunner, of penetrating her vagina with his fingers

krl97a: "I'm not sure whether Biden really raped her or not"

Yeah no shit. She lacks credibility to the nth degree.

Her account has more corroboration than almost any high profile Me Too claim. As a lifelong Democrat it's possible she was praising Biden's agenda. Regardless it doesn't change the proven fact that she had accused Biden of inappropriate sexual behavior not just recently, but all the way back in the 1990s.

Do we value women, do we believe women?

Joe Biden - "Women should be believe."

Cory Booker - "We believe women."

Kamala Harris - "She is putting herself out there, knowing that they're gonna try and excoriate, and she has the courage to come forward, she has nothing to gain, what does she have to gain?"

Joe Biden - "The Woman should be given the benefit of the doubt."
