Schumer threatened two Supreme Court justices in front of a screaming mob outside the court; getting rightly rebuked.

Lying Schiff was projecting with that gangster talk. This is an actual example of that, trying to intimidate Gorsuch and Kavanaugh by name on video to boot. Disgusting. I'm not sure there's any precedent for this unAmerican action. Even his BS ex post facto spin, that he was only talking about Senate electoral consequences, a claim debunked by the recording, would be reprehensible since you aren't supposed to be politicizing the Supreme Court or trying to sway justices like that.

(screaming outside the court) "I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price!" Schumer warned. "You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions."

Schumer has been rebuked by Roberts, McConnell and other Senators in the official record, and even some liberals:

"Liberal Harvard Law School professor Laurence Tribe took the conservative Roberts' side, calling Schumer's words "inexcusable." He said Roberts was correct to say something and hoped that Schumer would apologize."

So far the scumbag hasn't even apologized. Schumer should be kicked out of the Senate. That likely won't happen, but at the very least he should be censured so this Democrat tendency to always sink toward the base and destructive in their pursuit of power at all costs is at least checked on this narrow but important score.

The Democrats will say “Sen. Schumer didn’t mean it as an actual threat. They were only words.” But, words can have consequences. Schumer directed his war of words at two Supreme Court justices who he named...while standing on the Supreme Court steps. He bellowed his threat to a crowd of haters.

There are crazies on both sides of the aisle who take those words seriously and act upon them. We had a Congressman shot at a baseball game. We had a woman killed at a rally by a hater using his car to run her down.

To repeat, Words can have negative consequences. Hateful rhetoric from both camps can and does incite horrific events which can lead to the deaths of human beings.

Words are literally what threats are. It's amazing what selective amnesia Democrats have not only about the self described "Rachel Maddow superfan" who tried to massacre a score of GOP congressmen, critically wounding Steve Scalise, but countless other acts of violence like the Antifa guy who died trying to massacre ICE workers, echoing liberals' insane "concentration camp" rhetoric in his manifesto.

Being an entitled leftist who's used to being protected by virtually the entire media/academic/bureaucratic establishment, Schumer likely won't apologize to conservatives. But at the very least he should be censured so that maybe other office holders holding power over Americans' lives will be less likely to act this way. A growing number of liberals like Tribe and the ABA have condemned his comments, but without something formal like a censure he'll likely think he's gotten away with it and can continue saying anything he wants.

We can expect his words to be used heavily in races this fall, where ironically they might help Republicans win Senate seats.

“A growing number of liberals like Tribe and the ABA have condemned his comments,...”

Maxine Waters, the ugly shrew, is responsible for inciting “in your face” incidents. That damn Indian encouraged by the black group shouting obscenities started beating his drum in the kid’s face. Yet the onus was put on the kid who was innocent. Antifa, (the new Brown Shirts), are domestic terrorists who are left to run amuck! The ambushing and executions of our law enforcement have left blood on the shoes of Obama, Deblasio, and the far left like Schumer! Slithering Snake Schiff should be run out of Congress and never heard from again. How I despise those people!

And before the lefties get their drawers in a wad...I don’t like Trump as a person. A little of him goes a long way, but our country is in better shape because of him. Love of God, Family, and Country. Nothing about the love of the man running the country.

Lefties always, without a doubt, will deflect. They will never admit wrong doing.

Lawrence Tribe and the American Bar Association, both of whose statements condemning Schumer are in the linked article in the op, aren't "trump supporters", so your reply is false on its face. Heck, even McConnell and (especially) Roberts aren't exactly die hard Trump supporters.

Plus Trump was talking privately about government employees betraying their trust and leaking information to sabotage government policy and push their own political agendas. That is a treasonous subversion of democracy. It's a completely false equivalence with openly threatening judges to rule your way or else they "will pay the price!"

Trump's never threatened judges like that. Anyone who's studied law at all or at least understands how the US government works knows the Court isn't supposed to be politicized anyway. Having anyone, let alone a sitting Senator directly threaten judges like that to try and intimidate them into ruling his way is shocking and unprecedented in the US (it happens in unfree nations). It's deeply unAmerican, which is why it's getting a negative response even from many liberals. If a Republican had done that he would have been metaphorically lynched in print and on screen in wall to wall coverage for months. People would have forgot about the corona virus and his own party probably would have eventually pushed him into resigning.

The double standard that has some of the worst leftists actually trying to defend Schumer with spin and false equivalences is disgusting and helped create the sense of entitlement that led to Schumer's actions in the first place.

How can anyone with a sane mind defend Schumer? A Republican waves his hand under a restroom wall stall and he’s run out of office! What Schumer did is not love of country...it is love of self. I would say Schumer is a traitor. If a trial was in session and someone threatened the judge as Schumer did, that person would be arrested and charged with intimidation!

Trump would not have had the problems he has if he had done what Clinton and Obama did...cleaned house. Fire everyone who worked under Obama. This is includes staff, the Justice Dept., FBI, any and all who were appointees. Career people (those on the bottom rung) are usually devoid of politics...they just do their jobs.

Sounds like Schumer is saying to Gosuck and Bart O'Kavanaugh that there will be karma for their actions. However, the karma Schumer is implying is much lighter than either of their spouses acquiring cancer. The karmic "whirlwind" he is referring to is standard politics of one side arguing with the other.

🙅🏼‍♀️ Not worth my time to answer your inane post!

Lmao its funny watching the libs try to defend Schumer

Schumers excuse was that he is from Brooklyn.

reply

The scumbag's pathetic excuse threw his own constituents under the bus to deflect blame from himself. Apparently it's "Hey, Brooklyn sucks! That's where I'm from. Don't blame me!"
