How would conservatives react to this ?

A good question is making it's way on social media, wondering how conservatives would react if 22,000 black men armed themselves with AK-47s, dressed in military garb with scarves over their faces, and held a civil rights march in say, Richmond, Virginia.

reply

Nothing. The AK_47 would get me to have a watch on them as that is a communist gun. The people at that thing the other day was carrying American made stuff, but the AK is made here now as we here are getting more communist so there is a bigger customer thing now.
People carrying AR style guns.

reply

If you are saying an EXACT reversal of what just happened, then I'm all for it. AS IN ZERO VIOLENCE.

reply

The black panther party did just that in the early 70's.

They walked around the city with rifles and shotguns, dressed in leather, shades and red beret's.

That was the beginning of the end for the group.

reply

That was nearly 50 years ago. I'm talking now, 2020 - under the new T-rump republican party. How would they react ?

reply

AKs are against the law...Ar15s are ok.

Do African Americans care about second amendment? Most of the Senior spokesman representing the group are want less guns on the street.

When you see these guys at rallies with guns most of them are hunters who live in the sticks...guns are a part of their culture, the 2nd amendment is very, very important to them.

You get your occasional racist nut job, or your anti government wacko, but the vast majority of them are good ol boys who like to hunt and shoot.

So it would be extremely odd to see thousands of black men armed to the teeth defending the 2nd amendment...since hunting is not in their culture, one would think that it is a paramilitary group of some sort.

reply

"Do African Americans care about second amendment?"

Wow, that's a rather racist comment. Wanting less guns on the street (like I do) doesn't mean you're against the second amendment. Far from it. And it's certainly not based on race.

Wow! Where are you getting such information from ?

"So it would be extremely odd to see thousands of black men armed to the teeth defending the 2nd amendment...since hunting is not in their culture, one would think that it is a paramilitary group of some sort."

I can't even begin to imagine where you're getting this from, so I'll skip it.

I will ask again: What would be the Republican re-action in 2020 to 22,000 armed black men taking to the streets of Richmond with their faces covered in scarves ?

reply

Do you live in the USA?Because these are pretty common observations.

Hunting is not part of black culture.

Black leaders are not likely to go on the media and defendend the second amendment, when so many inner city youth are being killed in gang/drug wars. The solidarity is mostly shown in the form of anti-police brutality marches, second amendment is not a top issue.

Labeling cultural differences as 'racist' is lazy, inhibits critical thinking, and stifiles conversation.

As for your unlikely hypothetical, seeing people pickting armed with Ar15s you are always concerned. It doesn't matter what color the skin is.

You are also suggesting that conservatives are OK with such a display because they are white. Well...they are putting up a brave front, because they know all it takes is one shot from a heated argument for things to go South.

Also 'Wow where are you getting such information' and 'I can't even imagine where you got this so I'll just skip it'..Are just piss poor retorts...have something of substance to type!

reply

SMH in disbelief of what you posted.

reply

There was a whole lot of "crazy" in that post.

reply

I'll say. Sometimes you have to step away from the conversation because it's really too crazy.

doogiedaddy is our resident troll, this is all he does...

reply

Yes, we've discussed this before - I bring out truth and facts, and republicans scream "troll !" . I'm surprised if they don't.

Aks are NOT against the law. Where are you getting your information from?

reply

Really??You can actually buy a AK 47?, the preferred assault rifle of our enemy?

I must have been thinking of a time...not long ago...when we were more sane.

reply

They are semi automatic rifles. Just like hunting rifles. Not the fully automatic ones you are thinking of. Mine is made in the usa.

reply

I have a Chinese AK. You can convert them pretty easily to full auto but that is a federal crime and just not worth it.

reply

I can smell the racism coming off of you Doggie. You stink.

reply

Not me - your komrades.

reply

Beat me to it! Reagan clamped down on the Black Panthers when they started policing their neighborhoods with guns.

reply

I'm sure he would have done the same if it were white people policing their neighborhoods with guns. LOL!

reply

Your hypothesis has been played out before and the right is silent.

reply

lolz at sock account! hana!

reply

A AK person to my thinking would want a different government than I would want but I would need to speak to them first to say that is true. You can dress up a AR like the people at the rally have for all different needs. It is really a gun that can be used in everything needed over having to buy several different ones for home defense, hunting and things. Just get a AR and add what attachments you want. Doing that to a AK makes it to heavy.

"Conservatives" have always loved giving guns to non-whites.

"Wallace and Jordán Wallace also found that this effect is strongest among “those groups who are traditionally viewed as being most opposed to immigration reforms expanding access to citizenship,” in particular Republicans and conservatives.

Republicans were 25 percentage points more likely to support a military-only option than the control group (65% versus 40%), and conservatives 23 percent more likely (62% versus 39%)."

Yeah, let's fill Camp Pendleton with Mexicans with guns.

reply

Synonymous with Obama and the gang implementing “Fast & Furious”! A border agent was killed as a result.

reply

The question is moot. It has no standing as it’s hypothetical. But, I will attempt to answer your question by changing it to a more logical occurrence. How would we react to 22,000 black men armed with AR-15s (weapon carried by the 2nd amendment folks in VA), NOT dressed in military garb (as were the 2nd amendment folks), NOT with scarves over their faces (as were the 2nd amendment folks), (that would be Antifa’s garb), and held a civil rights march in Richmond, VA. I would be curious as to why people in a civil rights march would feel the need to carry AR-15s. But, if it did occur I would do nothing, but remain puzzled. On the other hand if the 22,000 black men were part of a 2nd amendment march in Richmond, Virginia...I would say “More power to them!”

Understand...the firearm is the symbol of the 2nd amendment. The firearm is not symbolic of civil rights. Except, sad to say, when it was used to thwart civil rights.

reply

It happened in California in the 60s and Reagan clamped down on it with gun laws.

reply

Yeah, conservatives would cheer them on if they're supporting the Second Amendment. Your op illustrates why people say leftists are the race-obsessed bigots. Skin color is your hangup, not ours. Your thread is also stupid because there are black conservatives who sometimes show up to rallies (legally) armed. If you weren't a Rachel Maddow drone maybe you'd know that.

Remember when MSNBC showed footage of a conservative, anti-Obama protester armed with an AR-15, but carefully edited his skin out of the clip to hide the fact (as pictures, footage, and interviews elsewhere showed) that he was black, while the lying anchor used the footage to push a BS narrative about alleged scary white racism toward Obama?

"On Tuesday, MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer fretted over health care reform protesters legally carrying guns: "A man at a pro-health care reform rally...wore a semiautomatic assault rifle on his shoulder and a pistol on his hip....there are questions about whether this has racial overtones....white people showing up with guns." Brewer failed to mention the man she described was black."

Plus there were black folks at the 2nd Amendment rally in Richmond, VA!

reply

Yes, blacks and people of all races, underscoring the stupid dishonesty of the leftist bubble and its bottomfeeding puppets like Doggiedaddy. This article includes several video interviews with minority attendees.

"It's pure baloney. Two of our speakers are black," Philip Van Cleave, president of the Virginia Citizens Defense League, told Townhall in regards to the racism charge. "So no, it's not [racist].""

"Princess Kuvor, an African-American woman who was carrying an AR-15, told Townhall that the people who are trying to portray the event as a "white supremacist" rally need "to get a life."

"Those people need to stop being racist because as you can see I [am a] black woman. I'm from Africa. I immigrated here when I was five years old and I love this country. Our Second Amendment rights are very important here," she added.""

It's as if they're talking directly to Doggiedaddy!

Aubrey “Japharii” Jones, the president of Black Lives Matter 757 believes the reaction would've been different if it was thousands of armed black men marching with guns.

reply

I'm not surprised, since he's a leader of a bigoted, leftist movement that falsely accuses cops of being a bunch of white supremacists who love going around murdering black people. A movement founded on other lies, like "Hands up don't shoot!"

The above evidence of interviews with armed black attendees proves that the Second Amendment rally, by contrast, had nothing to do with race.

reply

22,000 of them with their faces covered by scarves? I don't think so. I don't think one had his / her face covered - most likely they'd be arrested.

reply

“dressed in military garb with scarves over their faces,” Your words, not mine. Why did you include it in OP if you didn’t want an answer?

reply

What are you talking about ? Who said I didn't want an answer?

reply

If I’m not mistaken you were comparing the 2nd amendment rally people with a hypothetical 22,000 armed black man civil rights march. You included “dressed in military garb with scarves over their faces”...which was not relevant. If by chance you were implying the 2nd amendment crowd were dressed in the above...you were in error.

reply

Ronald Reagan toughened up on gun laws in Cali. when the "Black Panthers" started policing their neighborhoods while armed. We all know how many white people would act if this happened.
