Is Jeffrey Epstein getting raped as we speak?

Or was he able to purchase a private jail cell?

Anybody know?

reply

Apparently he now has his own disgusting cell down the block from el Chapo. Lol.

Hopefully he’ll be in GenPop soon where he belongs.

https://nypost.com/2019/07/12/jeffrey-epsteins-cell-is-three-doors-down-from-el-chapo/amp/

reply

I wonder what names of powerful people he is going to call out in order for a lighter sentence! This man is well connected.

reply

Surely. He’s got people of power who are shitting their pants.

reply

I’m sure he’s being held in much better conditions than the migrant children at the border.

reply

Undoubtedly. But why does he get his own private cell?

Why??!

reply

Because he's not a migrant toddler who crossed the border with his parents?

reply

rofl!

reply

Yeah lol then cry out loud for the children in filthy animal pens.

reply

That part really is tragic. I'm really pissed at how feeble the Democrats have been on this as well. AOC is right. The House should have insisted on conditions instead of handing Trump a blank check on the border bill. Pathetic.

reply

Just one more blaring alarm sounding off for the decay of civilisation.

reply

It's going to take decades to recover from the damage from endemic corruption Trump has rendered on our democratic institutions, and that's being wildly optimistic by assuming he doesn't win a 2nd term. If he does, all bets are off. The stakes really couldn't be higher for 2020.

reply

I could not agree with you more.

I was standing outside of the White House yesterday looking at the guards with assault rifles while amid a crowd of common people chanting: “Racist, Rapist, Racist, Rapist...!!!”

If that’s not a scenario to haunt your brain, I don’t know what is.

reply

That's insane!!!

Straight out of some alternative history sci-fi unimaginable prior to 2016. Wow.

If you're in DC I'd imagine protests are quite common these days, but chants of "Rapist, Racist" is some fascist-dystopian craziness that should have made the news. The press neglects to even report protests these days.

There were close to 100,000 people on the streets here in SF three nights ago protesting the border and there were organized vigils all over the country Friday. But it's like there's a concerted blackout of this information in the news.

I honestly think it's media exhaustion. So much crap surrounding this guy, nothing shocks us anymore. Nothing at all. We've become so immune to what he's done or capable of doing.

This guy has more than 20 women who have come forward and claimed sexual assault by him - the latest being E. Carroll Jean. It garnered about three days worth of news, then pushed aside for the next shitstorm. Now she's become a footnote in history. For shame.

reply

As I’ve suggested, it’s as if we’re watching the fall of civilization.

reply

It really is. I couldn't agree with you more.

reply

If I weren’t so exhausted from working like a dog it would keep me up at night.

reply

I think that's definitely part of it. The strong economy has us all swamped and too distracted with work to even be aware of all the norm busting going in Washington. It's just the retired classes and political junkies that know what's really going on to be truly outraged and alarmed.

The Roman empire would use bread and circuses to distract their masses from focusing too much attention on public corruption and affairs of state. Here in the US it's our gangbuster economy.

reply

Sigh...
The Caligula Administration.

reply

We really have entered the twilight zone. I never dreamed I'd see the day when a race baiting shit stirrer President of the United States tells a naturalized African American elected Representative in Congress to go back to Africa, inciting a mob to chants of "Send her Back!" at his pseudo-klan maga rallies. I swear it's like he wants to get Ilhan Omar killed.

reply

Definitely doesn’t care if she dies. I agree with others that it’s all a distraction.

reply

This is what Bernie had to say to his supporters:

“Last night, I was at dinner with Ilhan Omar, her daughter, and some other members of Congress when we heard the news that thousands of people at a Donald Trump rally were chanting "send her back."

To my surprise, Ilhan was pretty unfazed. Sadly, as she told me, she has been dealing with this kind of hatred and racism for a long time.

And she knows, as we do, that Trump is a demagogue doing what he does best: dividing and conquering through hate.

No. Trump won't talk about trying to throw 32 million Americans off their health care. He won't talk about his massive tax breaks for billionaires. He won't talk about his budget which called for huge cuts to Medicaid and Medicare. And he certainly won't talk about how climate change is destroying the planet.

But he will try to divide the country up based on the color of our skin, our religion, where we were born or our sexual orientation.

Brothers and sisters: Now is the time, more than at any other moment in our lifetimes, to say NO to racism, NO to divisiveness, NO to the hatred that Trump is trying to foment.

Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage. She won’t back down to Trump’s racism and hate, and neither will we.

Ilhan and I have worked together on a number of important issues since she was elected – most recently our effort to cancel all student debt in this country.

She is a critical voice in our fight for justice in America, and I am excited to work with her and other progressives when we are in the White House.

Thank you for reading, and for supporting our campaigns.

In solidarity,

Bernie Sanders”

reply

He's a class act. It's about what I'd hope and expect from a US president, regardless of ideology.

I was thrilled to see her take his attacks in stride and heartened by the hero's welcome she received back in her predominantly white Minnesota district that elected her.

reply

I agree on all counts.

reply

Most disheartening to me has been watching the complicity of the Democrats. Specifically Pelosi's inaction and cowardice; she is my rep so it's personal. Trump's crimes are impeachable and Pelosi is flatly refusing to do her constitutional duty by exercising the authority the Founders granted her office to prevent abuses by a corrupt president.

Trump ignores the courts, does whatever he likes, and we hear her point the finger at him as the cause of a constitutional crises. No, the real Constitutional Crises is her inaction. The Founders anticipated the possibility of a corrupt president and gave her office the constitutional levers to deal with it. What they didn't anticipate is spineless opposition leaders in congress like Pelosi who argue hypothetical politics as an excuse not to hold an out of control executive to account; so the whole system breaks down. Punting to the election corrupts the intent of the entire system. Saying "I won't do my duty because others won't either" is a democracy dying in plain sight.

reply

I couldn’t agree more in theory. I just want him out of there and the best chances for him to be locked up but that will never happen.

reply

I’ve only been in DC for a few days but I haven’t seen any real protests. Kind of sad, but then again, I’m not exactly out there organizing anything. I’m too busy working.

reply

Maybe calling them a crowd was an overstatement. It was around two dozen people, mostly middle aged African Americans wearing printed tee shirts with anti Trump slogans.

But the SF protests being ignored doesn’t surprise me at all. MSM is totally corrupt.

reply

And trumps daddy-o Putin is laughing his ass off, which by the way, is an expression Ruskos find HILARIOUS.

reply

Yeah they would. They can see what's obvious to the rest of us and the world, that it's Putin who pulls his strings. Every time they interact we get more confirmation of this. Just a few months back in Venezuela Trump appeared all ready to go to war until a last minute call from Putin chastising him had him throwing Bolton under the bus and blaming him for everything. While I'm glad Putin reigned him in, the rest of the global diplomatic corps can see who's really in charge.

After the abject humiliation they felt following the Cold War, it's no surprise Russkies would find it all quite hilarious.

reply

Do you think maybe that whole going to war thing was just Trump up to his old tricks of publicly announcing something just to raise some stock? That’s the feeling I had but don’t have time to dig into researching.

reply

In the case of Venezuela, no. I was reading about Trump floating the idea of attacking Venezuela to his own cabinet (not the press) as early as the summer of 2017. He literally seemed to be so clueless he wasn't aware Putin had his own Russian mercs in Venezuela supporting the dictator he was intent on toppling. He genuinely didn't appear to have any idea that if he were to attack Venezuela Putin really wouldn't like that.

It took a last minute call from Putin to put Trump in his place. After that he blamed the whole idea of attacking Venezuela on Bolton and claimed it was his NSA adviser who was trying to get him into a war.

reply

Always passing the buck. God, I hope this Epstein scandal brings him down. Look at all that is publicly known of Trump and then imagine all that is hidden. I shudder to think.

reply

Trump isn't going anywhere for five more years. All you snowflakes better get used to it, all you have is message boards like moviechat to vent on.

Regarding the plight of the "poor children" of the illegal immigrants...let's hope news of their situation is reaching any others considering crossing our border illegally. Stay home!

Getting all bent out of shape because I was enthusiastically agreeing with you is the behavior of a snowflake.

reply

I hope your TDS is terminal.

reply

So I can die happy laughing at you? That would be a riot.

reply

Just as long as you die...laugh all you like.

reply

We all die. But thank you for wishing I die happy.

reply

Calling a poster who is the likes of eYeDEF clueless is the ironic and moronic statement of the day. You’re a committed troll round here so surely you’ve seen his intelligent, informed, and interesting takes on the current political scene and you try to use your infantile tactics of denigrating his comments that you undoubtedly don’t even have the mental capacity to absorb. You’re pathetic.
Get a job.

Spoken like a true homophobe and a violent thug.

reply

He's got ton of baggage. Black mailing folks for years. That residence he owns in NY was actually owed by the owner of abercrombie and fitch!!! So why did he have to sign over his residence to Epstein? What does Epstein have on him?? Some folks are speculating it involves a dead child!! TRAMP himself had a falling out with Epstein over "virginity property!" These folks are heathens! Sick individuals! Why did Barr discontinue 7 of Mueller's investigations?? It's all a cover up! The rich and powerful do not want to be exposed of their evil deeds involving young minor children and LORD knows what else!

reply

The whole mystery of how he built his wealth is quite fascinating given the tons of hedge fund managers that have come forward to say there's no way Epstein manages billions because they would have seen some indication of his footprint showing up in trading markets.

The Abercrombie and Fitch owner you're referring to is none other than Les Wexner, founder of Victoria Secrets who is speculated to have been Epstein's primary financial benefactor last decade before they had a falling out. But why would Wexner bankroll Epstein? It's easy to wonder if Epstein had young girl blackmail material on Wexner until you find out Wexner is notoriously gay. There's been zero indication that Epstein has ever had any history of grooming and pimping out young boys ... he just doesn't appear to swing that way.

But they had to have some sort of relationship for Wexner to transfer the seven story Manhattan townhouse valued at $77 million to Epstein for $0.

reply

That’s what I’ve been following in the media. The relationship between these two is intriguing.

reply

What is virginity property??

It seems all the super wealthy people in the world all have nasty skeletons in their countless closets.

They protect each other, even their enemies, to protect themselves.

reply

Accidentally double posted.

reply

Because of the things that might happen to him if he was in a cell with others.. . .you know what I mean?

reply

Sorry, would you reference please? I lost track of the comment you’re posting on. Thanks in advance!

reply

Would be hilarious if El Chapo couldn't stand Epstein peter tweeter for lolitaism and kills him or something.

reply

I’m laughing at that although I don’t quite know if I understand.

Is the Peter tweeter trump?

Maybe they’ll develop a Count of Monte Cristo type of friendship through the filthy parasite infested prison walls. Eppy will school Chappy on Ponzi hedge fund bunkos and Chappy will reciprocate by teaching Eppy of the speedy return of massive profits from contraband investments.

reply

We should know if Trump has criminal exposure from Epstein's arrest soon. It'll be obvious when either he or Barr begin to meddle in Epstein's prosecution.

But yeah, that confiscated safe they got in the raid with all the underage nude pix and videos and labeled with the word "young+[epstein client]" sounds like some serious blackmail material that could explain his wealth and clout. Maybe that's why he's got a private cell.

His arrest seems to be making a lot of people really nervous.

reply

Yeah imagine the dirt Epstein had on Bubba and loser Hillary after his 27 trips to pedophile island.

Remember when the democrat media orgasmed over that for the last 15 years since it was made public? Me neither.

reply

If true, Ken Starr would've been all over it! All he found was a blow job with a grown young woman! Tell me this, why did William Barr's dad hire Epstein as a teacher? Epstein had no credentials or degree for that position!! Shortly after, Barr's dad quit after the school called for an investigation! Stop making this one sided! It's obvious members of both parties, celebs, musicians..etc, ton of famous people are involved. They all need to go down, including TRAMP!

reply

Here, here.

They all need to go down but they won’t.

reply

Uh oh. I'm seeing how Barr has now un-recused himself after formerly recusing himself from the Epstein matter. Here we go.

reply

Do you have an article link that could help me get perspective?

Sorry, I’m totally bashed with work obligations and out of the loop.

reply

I'm playing catch up myself from this tweet from CNN correspondent Manu Raju from 4-5 days back.

https://twitter.com/mkraju/status/1148607060155801600?s=21

There’s a theory of Epstein as a master blackmailer, inviting wealthy people to his mansion, hoping that they fall for the allure of an underage girl, secretly filming their activities, and then extorting them to invest in his mysterious hedge fund. Could be a lot simpler than people think.

Maybe he throws his parties, takes notes of who likes his ‘art’ or pays too much attention to obviously underage girls, then lets them know that he throws even better parties for his investors. Whether or not Epstein was making money for his investors, he would have been able to obtain massive fees and float his lifestyle by simply not losing their money. And what’s it to these billionaires if they park a few million in a fund that pays a low but stable rate of return if it’s simply managed as an index fund vs potentially higher returns with a riskier investment? If they know their money is safe and they’ll be able to frequent Epstein’s overseas parties why wouldn't they?

The closest anybody has come to ‘naming names’ is Epstein’s now-deceased former house manager who tried to sell Epstein’s “little black book” and circled about 50 names as ostensibly relevant to the accusations against him.

Rodriguez, who spent 18 months in prison, died in December [of 20140] after a long illness and never spoke out about the address book, so the precise significance of the names he circled remains fuzzy. But the FBI’s case against him makes clear that Rodriguez regarded the address book as crucial to understanding Epstein’s crimes; during a conversation with an undercover FBI agent posing as a potential buyer, he “discussed in detail the information contained in the book, and identified important information” to the agent.

reply

Probably because the only evidence that ever placed Clinton on the island was testimony from Virginia Roberts who cleared Clinton in the same sworn affidavit where she fingered Epstein passing her off to Dershowitz and detailed her participation in an 11 person orgy with Prince Andrew. From her affidavit:

"I have seen reports saying or implying that I had sex with former President Bill Clinton on Little St James Island, Clinton was present on the island at a time when I was also present on the island, but I have never had sexual relations with Clinton, nor have I ever claimed to have had such relations. I have never seen him have sexual relations with anyone"

reply

I don’t think Clinton is a pedophile.

I definitely think he’s a retired rapist but seems to prefer to traumatise a more worldly woman.

reply

My impression of him was that he was more of a sex addict who would utilize the natural trappings of power to take advantage of eager or compliant subordinates than an actual 'rapist' who would force himself on people. From what I understand, his MO seemed to be more about dropping his pants or yanking his cock out to women he thought would take it from there. That gesture ends up being sexual harassment to women who refuse to comply, like Paula Jones. But it's not rape.

The only person on the record who accused him of actual "rape" that I'm aware of was Juanita Broderick who didn't level that accusation until 21 years later. But even in that belated account assuming we take her final story at face value, she admits she didn't resist and went along with his advances. Sexual harassment, sure. But highly dubious if that would meet the legal definition of 'rape'.

But I have to admit 24 flights on Epstein's plane does look pretty damning at the moment. He might well be guilty of statutory rape. Not that I think he's a pedophile as much as an opportunist. We will learn what evidence is on those CDs, the names of which will certainly be leaked if a judge chooses to seal the evidence to protect the underage victims.

reply

I'm not trying to stick up for Clinton here (because I think he's a scum...and corrupt, too, although not even close to Trumpian levels) but to be fair he may be telling the truth when he claimed to have only flown on 4 trips with Epstein because flight logs map each leg of a trip as individual flights that land and take-off again before reaching a final destination. So when Clinton claimed 4 trips, those could have added up to 6 or 7 stops (flights) each to a destination that are all part of the same journey to and from one city.

reply

Could be. I'll have to look into that further but my memory was that a couple girls were independently picked up on some of the multi-leg flights. Whether they were under age is something we have no idea since they appeared to be first names or nick names. But if there's proof of anything untoward about Clinton I'd expect them to be on those CDs along with the rest of the powerful Epstein was extorting.

reply

Ah yes, those CDs... If they're in federal evidence now, they have to be cataloged, right? The names were redacted when the story broke, but who is included on them is going to have to come out eventually. This is mind-blowing.

reply

And if Trump is one of those names we can expect some shenanigans from Barr in short order.

reply

Wonder if NE Patriots owner Robert "rub-n-tug" Kraft is on some of those CDs? Must be since T-rump has always referred to him as a 'great guy'.

reply

I have a fantasy football team, and for this year I changed my team's name to "Kraft Macaroni & Sleaze."

reply

LOOOL! HIlarious.

You know Trump had to be looking down on Kraft for getting busted in a 3rd world massage parlor trying to get sex on the cheap. The president might be a cheapwad when it comes to everything else EXCEPT when it comes to paying for sex.

reply

Broderick says she did resist his advances and that he forced himself on her. I looked it up and it’s based on a Dateline from 99. He also bit her, which is a common rapist maneuver that completely disgusts me. I believe her. It’s hard to explain how stuff like this happens to women. The dynamics are complicated, especially with powerful people engaging with those who admire them.

That said, I don’t get the feeling either that he’s in on the pedo stuff but what do I know?

reply

Yeah could be. He doesn't strike me as a Weinstein type who uses force, but would instead rely on his charm and power. If that's the only account of him being forceful I'd find it suspect, his typical MO seems pretty different. But maybe there are more accounts that we're not aware of. Who knows.

reply

Exactly. Who knows. Maybe in the heat of the moment he sincerely misread her refusals but I tend to doubt it.

reply

She did say in that Dateline interview she stopped resisting Clinton because "it was a real panicky situation". I could see him misreading that as a green light. It doesn't sound like she ever made him aware she didn't find it consensual in the immediate aftermath seeing as how according to her he made a half-dozen additional calls to her that year asking when she was going to be back in Little Rock.

Yet I do believe her when she says she didn't consent. But given the context of her attending his fundraiser 3 weeks later and continuing to entertain calls from him, it's impossible for me to think she hadn't thrown up mixed signals that he tragically misread.

reply

Yeah imagine the dirt Epstein had on Bubba and loser Hillary after his 27 trips to pedophile island.

My redneck uncle only ever refers to him as Teflon Willy.

He’s actually a highly educated aerospace engineer but if you met him you’d think he was a redneck.

Re: confiscated safe.

Weird that Eppy didn’t hide that stuff in the safe better.

reply

He probably figured he was untouchable after skating with that sweetheart deal from Acosta last time.

reply

Yeah. I guess people like that get lazy.

reply

I’m also getting the feeling that the downfall of Eppy is connected to steps being taken to topple Trumpy.

reply

It's funny I had the initial premonition of the same thing myself. It's definitely possible.

SDNY must be pretty pissed seeing as how Barr has been working behind the scenes to quietly kill off investigations Mueller left in the hands of SDNY. Just the other day we learned SDNY prosecutors were no longer expected to bring charges against the Trump Org for improperly classifying hush money payments to Cohen. CNN says the investigation went dark 5 months ago. Barr was confirmed 5 months ago. That’s a pretty big coincidence.

Maybe some ambitious and vengeful prosecutor at SDNY who knew there was a huge can of worms in store for Trump in the Epstein saga decided to go hard on this angle after Mueller turn into a deadbeat and they saw Barr killing off the Trump related prosecutions. Barr un-recusing himself on the Epstein matter certainly makes it appear like there might be something to this case that would require him to step in to protect the president.

But there's also enough here to slam Epstein with NY State charges that I'm not sure what Barr can even do to entirely shield Trump. Maybe SDNY has the same idea on why this case would be Barr-proof.

reply

SDNY is no longer interested in the T-rump Org???

reply

Not according to this CNN article that broke a couple days ago:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/07/12/politics/trump-organization-federal-prosecutors/index.html

This is the work of Trump's Roy Cohen.

reply

Wow. I missed that. Unbelievable!

reply

Thanks for the links. I’m so confused. I don’t understand the link between the SDNY case of Trump and how it ties into Epstein.

reply

Investigation of Trump ORG was a case Mueller passed off to SDNY to pursue because it didn't have to do with his core investigative mandate of collusion and Russian interference, but there was clear lawbreaking involved. Uncovering Trump ORG records should have been a goldmine of Trump criminality. The investigation was killed by Barr.

You think SDNY prosecutors were happy about Barr interfering and obstructing their investigation into Trump ORG? I don't either.

So how did a subpoena get served on Epstein and why did he get hauled in now? Maybe when Barr killed the SDNY investigation into Trump ORG five months ago, SDNY prosecutors decided to try to take down Trump another way by going after Epstein. Just a thought.

reply

Thanks for that input.

It’s stunning and it never ends.

Here’s a good op ed on a small outline of the type of horrific behavior trump normalizes from those who serve him. The writer calls trump’s presidency The Caligula Administration.

It’s sickening. It literally scares me sick.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/12/opinion/acosta-epstein-trump.amp.html

reply

Yeah and that's not even the worst of it. I think the most damage being done by the appointment of pro-Trump judges to the federal judiciary. The worst of course being the two sitting on the Supreme Court right now, one of which McConnell stole from Obama when Scalia died a year before his term ended.

That's damage that will last generations. Specifically when it comes to stuff like tilting the playing field to steal elections through gerrymandering. Any hope that the current court would put a stop to the craziness died a few weeks back when this conservative court decided they wouldn't interfere with state Republicans stacking the deck to disenfranchise Dem majority districts.

reply

So it seems the only way to knock trump out is going to have to be with a landslide victory for his opponent.

reply

Oh without question. But this is always the case given the voter suppression tactics like vote caging the GOP relies on in order to stay competitive when Dems outnumber Republicans by 12 million registered voters in this country. Rove and Florida gov Jeb Bush caged minority voters in Florida in 2000 to great effect that won Bush the presidency 19 years ago and Kris Kobach did it on a national level in 2016 with his infamous "Crosscheck" system that disenfranchised millions of minority voters in swing states who were far more likely to vote Dem. GOP Georgia gov Brian Kemp beat Stacey Abrams using the same tactic to wipe 340,000 minority voters off the rolls in last year's election that undoubtedly made the difference in his 54,000 margin of victory.

With Trump, GOP vote suppression has just gotten more blatant, especially now when they don't even appear to disguise their intent to rig the census to disenfranchise voters. Trump plans to add the citizen question by executive order after he couldn't get it through the courts; a leak by a deceased GOP operative revealed the whole intent behind the census citizenship question was a deliberate ploy to disenfranchise minority districts. This revelation was too much for even conservative Chief Justice John Roberts to stomach, as he sided with the liberal justices in striking down the question. It's quite telling of how the 4 conservative justices who wanted to keep the census question because it helps disenfranchise minority voters apparently have no real interest in justice or fairness over partisanship. Should the 2020 election be close, I have no doubt Trump will try to contest it and I have no faith that this conservative Supreme Court will do the right thing or that the Dems won't just roll over like they always do.

Kobach, Trump's czar of voter disenfranchisement, will be at it again in 2020.

reply

Thanks but why oh why do I even ask?

I appreciate your informed responses though.

Maybe absorbing it all will eventually produce an idea to somehow help uphold our democracy while it’s still possible.
