These days, it’s all about the subscriptions. Every major entertainment conglomerate is trying to compete with Netflix. Disney just rolled out its new Disney+ streaming service while owning a majority share in Hulu. In addition to the Marvel content on Disney+, they also offer Marvel Unlimited for the digital comics.

Last year, Warner Brothers finally threw their hat in the ring with DC Universe. It was supposed to be unlike any other streaming service. Like Marvel Unlimited, it served the small but devoted niche market and the subscription included digital comic books. But DC Universe also featured superhero TV shows and movies including exclusive originals.

Now entering its second year, DC Universe has undergone some changes. Its future is uncertain which may be why annual subscriptions are being offered at a discount. Which digital comic service reigns supreme? We’ll settle it with a smackdown!
