Hello, I am not much of an anime fan and I'm looking for some wonderful anime to watch. I do not like anime with goody-goodies, nor disrespectful, whiny characters. I do not like iyashikei anime, cute girls doing cute things, anime that's general setting is a school or melodrama.
I like realistic anime, anime with a moderate amount of action, and anime that takes place in outer space.
So please recommend me stuff that fits my interests.
Check out Steins;Gate. It's one of the most well-written anime series I've seen.

I'm the same way... I hate that cutesy anime with the humongous eyes when they're surprised. I usually turn it off as soon as they do that depending on the quality of the artwork, which is important to me, and the storyline.
