Vote For Future Board Moderators and Ground Rules

So I guess all it took for the board to come together and to stop whining about how much we hated it here was for the board to implode.

It seems people want to make a subreddit. A subreddit needs moderators and, in the case of a group like us, moderators who won't moderate too much. We need some level of anarchy and faith that whoever ends up moderating will do so with honor, integrity and a fair understanding of what made this place work for us.

So who? Someone balanced and kind like Hobo? Someone fierce and fiery like like Sol? Something inbetween? And what about the karma system? Was a part of what made this board 'great' not that people said whatever they felt like without fear of being hidden away at the bottom of the page? Or would some upvote/downvote order actually make this place less toxic? And what if a mod decides to ban a reg? What if Harry, Sol, OGL or myself say something trollish/d/ckish or post a raunchy gif? Should anyone really possess the one ring to rule them all or will it end up being the ruin of us all?

What say you?

I think i would be good for that task as i would only ban people who disagree with me.

A big rule for is to be loose with moderation, stepping in when needed. We know what's up, we know what trolling is fun and not and we all know our comfort levels. When we set up the subreddit people need to know that if they cant deal with the content then it's up to them.

I hate threads getting dropped because someone whines. Scrap the drama on both ends.

Eh I'd do it but Id guess thered be a few vocal detractors against me thatd rule me out.

You need someone fairly neutral who'll wield the banhammer when its needed, but not for every single disagreement or difference of opinion. Honestly, no one mod should have the power to ban and delete but a small group of mods will likely get a bit clicky so I dunno.

Rules should be a fairly simple, no spaming the place with stuff, no outright trying to screw up the board or posting gore pron and stuff, no spoilers etc.

I would personally prefer that anything goes, whether it be gore posts, trolling or dumb opinions. We'd learn to avoid the rotten ones anyway.

I'd be a great moderator.

I'd only ban Space and Sol. OGL when he got into his SJW shtick. Harry when he starts acting like Harry. Yoss just for being Yoss.

And after that I'd only ban people who disagree with me.
