Is Michael Ironside acting in "Visiting Hours" the most underrated male acting in an horror film of all time?

Just finsihed the movie and his acting is impressive in the film.

To me surpasses Hopkins in SOTL or Nicholson in The Shining but I don't know if many people have seen this movie

His performance was really great. Not Hopkins or Nicholson level for me but still great.

I might catch hate for this, but my top acting (not movie itself) male in a horror movie was Ryan Reynolds in The Amityville Horror. He was so good in his descent into madness in that film.
