Films really need to start catering to the “male gaze” again

Big budget action, comedy and other female-led films — and shows and video games — just aren’t making money, especially those that are blatantly “woke” and made to “avoid the male gaze.”

Men definitely stay away. And so are women.

So who is the intended audience? They can’t all be tax write offs like Batgirl.

Time to start catering to the “male gaze” again if they want to make money.

Ignore the rants of the feministas with their wild eyes, hairy armpits, weird dyed hair, and face piercings.

Their own ilk aren’t buying tickets. So who cares about their opinions?

Same goes for diversity and sexuality.

Only one opinion matters when it comes to making anything successful.

Same opinion it’s always been.

They’re male. They’re white. They’re straight.

That isn’t opinion. It’s cold hard fact.

Would be nice if this happened, but I'm not holding my breath.

It will. Studios can’t keep hemorrhaging money like they are.

Pre 1995 almost all movies had the obligatory romantic sub-plot crammed in there - even in action moves. I don't miss that, and in some sense that is catering to guys in a way they didn't back then.

Some of those were fun, especially if they included naked women.

They don't even need to do that. They just need to purge all the people who were hired for anything other than their ability. Call in those dudes like in Office Space and make everyone re-interview for their job.

That, and put Kathleen Kennedy down in the basement where no one can see or hear her.

Then lock the door and fucking weld it shut.

I like the way you think.
