Top Ten of 2016

http://www.thebigmoviehouse.com/2017/06/top-10-films-of-2016.html

I know that the list is late, but I like to make sure that I see the films that I want to see from that year. Many times in the past I have made a "Best of" list only to go back and change it because I saw a few films that should have been on the list. I am not taking the htpp://www.yourmoviesucks.org and watching as many films as I can from a year before making the "Best of" list. Makes everything so much easier, but delays the list.

Hope you enjoy!

An interesting list, but none of them would be on my list. Actually I can't even come up with 10, but here goes:

1. Manchester by the Sea
2. Hacksaw Ridge
3. Lion
4. Deadpool
5. Arrival
6. Hidden Figures.

That is a solid list. Haven't seen a few there. I might have to check them out.

1. The Nice Guys
2. Kubo and the Two Strings
3. The Neon Demon
4. Moana
5. Hell or High Water
6. Captain America: Civil War
7. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
8. Green Room
9. Doctor Strange
10. Keanu

There's still a good chunk I still haven't seen from last year (Moonlight, La La Land, Manchester by the Sea, etc.) so this is by no means a conclusive list. I'm just way behind.

Nice list. Still have to see The Neon Demon.

1. Nocturnal Animals - tense/unpredictable screenplay+ A-list performances = 2016’s best
2. Lion - best of the best-pic Oscar nominees IMHO
3. The Neon Demon - beautifully shocking + best soundtrack = 2016’s cult favorite
4. The Witch - Eggers’ direction is rookie perfection; Anya Taylor-Joy has a huge upside
5. The Nice Guys - smart, buddy action comedy - the Shane Black way
6. Captain America: Civil War – Cap’s screenplay quality and next-gen VFX lead subgenre
7. La La Land – nostalgic musical romp melts even the coldest heart
8. Manchester by the Sea - Casey Affleck’s slow burn performance still resonates
9. Deadpool - fun, irreverent, game-changing box office dominator
10. The Green Room - gritty send-off for Anton Yelchin

I still have to see Nocturnal Animals, but I did not like The Green Room. I don't know if I was having a bad day or what, but I just couldn't get into the film. Great list regardless.
