Would this scene have bothered you as much if the movie had been good?

I think most people would agree that Indiana Jones 4 was pretty bad, or at least well below the others in quality. I still see people making fun of the nuclear fridge toss to this day, but that brings an interesting question to mind. Would that scene still be such a joke if the movie had been better?

There are examples of ridiculous scenes in other movies that are considered much better, but those scenes seem to be given a pass.

I think the fridge thing is a bit much but acting like it ruins the movie by itself is just stupid. The epitome of a "fan gripe". I personally thought Indy IV was a bit derivative but there's nothing terrible about it and it was perfectly fine as entertainment to watch once.

I agree for the most part, but I did think Shia swinging through the trees with the monkeys was just stupid. Way worse than the fridge toss imo.

The fridge scene was, of course, ridiculous. But the final scene with the "spaceship" taking off was even more bizarre.
