Saoirse Ronan's too old to be Mathilda, maybe ten years ago. Regardless, the original is too good for me to want to think about a remake, as much as I like Saoirse Ronan.

I'm surprised to see you and another person say Michelle Pfeifer should have been nominated for an Oscar for Batman Returns. I don't hate her in that role but you know that's not the sort of movie the academy goes for. Same with Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2. I love both of those movies but the Academy Awards usually never nominate Action films for acting awards. Sometimes they have like Sean Connery in the Untouchables and Tommy Lee Jones in the fugitive. But those were more make up Oscars for not having given them one before.
