Old mystery movie: clock over fireplace opens secret door SOLVED

It is “The Hidden Hand” (1942)

I think this was an old b/w mystery or old dark house film. There was a large clock (or clock-like object) possibly over a fireplace, and moving the hands opens a secret door or some mechanism, maybe ringing a bell.

It also could have been an episode of a tv show like Sherlock Holmes with Ronald Howard.
