Movie help

I saw a movie in the mid to late 90s and I can't remember the name. Here's a brief description. A pilot(white guy with blonde hair) is commissioned to fly an Eskimo girl to (I think) a hospital in another state. The plane crashes and the Eskimo girl teaches the pilot how to survive by catching rodents (using a snare) and other things that are edible in a frigid environment. She ends up succumbing to her illness, and the pilot is forced to fend firm himself, and make the rest of the trip back to civilization. Can someone help me out with this movie?

Well, I just found it. It was called "The Snow Walker" from 2003.

Yes, with Barry Pepper. Another really good actor who has way more range than he's given credit for. I guess he just doesn't fit the leading man archetype because his facial features are too expressive.
