She went on to do everything that the original Ellie did, i.e. go searching for Anna, have the talk with her mom about why Paris disappeared, hide from the rescue team at night in search for Anna, and then accidentally time travel to the day prior where she would then see herself in the past arriving at the house after getting the call about Anna going missing. This would then be "third Ellie". Then the third Ellie will do everything that second Ellie did, rinse, repeat ad infinitum. It's a time loop.
Also, one of the paramedics tell Paris that it's September 2nd, 2022 as he's being loaded into the back of the ambulance on a gurney after flipping his boat.
