i don't think deckard killed rachel or at least i don't recall him doing that in the source material. the fact that he was depressed and that is an emotion adds to the pov that he is human. i'm going to discount what ridley scott may or may not have said about ford's character. it was mentioned that his eyes glowed and there was a reason why he did not take the test himself but i think it is safe to say that can be easily explained away. i do agree that roy wanted to be better than the unstable replicants in saving deckard. mirrors an episode of the original star trek where the android saves captain kirk's life similar to the way roy saved deckard's. if rd really was a replicant than he truly believed he is human. then again who better to hunt and retire the replicants than one of their own.
just watched the movie again last night. billy (dennis hopper) is apparently shot by accident but wyatt (peter fonda) is killed on purpose. no witnesses sort of thing. let me play devil's advocate for a moment. Wyatt never actually witness the shooting, he just heard the gunshot. all of the participants were white so there was no racial malice. if questioned then the sheriff would most likely take the rednecks's side. perhaps like george hanson (jack nicholson), billy & captain america (wyatt) were in the wrong place at the wrong time. the redneck holding the 12 gauge did seem surprised that it went off but i suppose only the late dennis hopper knew what he was going for at the end of the movie.
