Well spoiler alert for the second one. The board game didn’t respawn another cartridge. The kid just went back and got it.
I kinda wondered what would happen if they did lose a life. I felt like this was definitely intentionally less scary than the original. Who's to say that if they did lose all their lives they would actually die irl, they go back in time once it's over so maybe he would come back to life if they won.
