Get OFF the pot!!! L0L I'm sober 9 years and just enjoying "Fellowship of the Ring" in 4K/Dolby Atmos on my Oppo 203/HT. It's an INCREDIBLE series of movies isn't it? I love the cinematography/CGI in the whole 7-8 discs, including The Hobbit series.
I'll flash back to Dec. of 1970, when I was reading the Hobbit book, and listening to Cat Stevens music. (Tea For The Tillerman),and then I moved to Waikiki Beach from Vancouver for the first 6 mos of 1971. I was wearing a purple silk shirt with a brown corduroy vest, and matching bell bottom pants! (Nope, The Fashion Police did NOT arrest me at the airport! L0L)
I recently found "The Hobbit" paperback at a bus stop, and I'm going to read it to see if I remember any particular passages from 54 years ago. Maybe I'll play Cat Stevens on YT while doing so, to re-live my youth!
Burt L. one of my FAV actors of the 1940s-1960s era of Hollywood. Elmer Gantry was my FAV movie by him.
ALL 'money' is counterfeit! It's created from NOTHING then 'loaned' at USURY! What a bunch of POOPaganda this film is!!!
LIKE it or not???
Thanx for sharing, bcuz I was wondering WHY David would be inserted into the movie as an extra, bcuz he doesn't add anything to the film, plot-wise, etc?
I'll NEVER forget the POS character that Pat Hingle played in "One-Eyed Jacks" with Marlon Brando 7 years before this film! Hingle did a very convincing 'villain' role, and he was a villain in this film too, AFAIC! (Even tho he was a 'judge'). Hingle was also good in "Splendor In The Grass". EDIT: It was Karl Malden in One-Eyed Jacks! I get Hingle and Malden mixed up.(same noses)

I actually agree, it's just an "Alien" remake, but I bought the Atmos version of AQP to test my new 4K DVD player's sound, and I'm just over half way in and it is very impressive so far! It's my FIRST experience using Dolby Atmos on physical media and it blows away anything on the internet! I have 4 height speakers installed, with 3 subs. It rocks!
The 'brother' has a name and it is David in real life, as well as his character in the movie.
Yes! It is disheartening to see so many hand-crafted CHARACTER homes/buildings being demolished for the 'modern' ABOMINATIONS! I lived in Vancouver for almost 40 years and moved away in 1993. I've been back twice but NEVER again...
You SWUM did you? L0L BTW, thanx for the link!
There's also a Balboa Park in San Diego, which I originally thought was the location, until I came here!
L0L Too bad Lucy looks closer to 30 than 17 years of age!
