Yeah, but it takes at least 12 hours for the alcohol to infuse the watermelon, so if you want to do it, you cut a hole in it like they did in the movie, pour vodka or gin inside, and put it in the fridge for 12 hours. If you just made a hole in a watermelon and poured a bottle of liquor in, it would spill all over the place as soon as you cut into it. People I knew at college did it and cut the watermelon into cubes and put toothpicks in them at parties, kind of like Jello shots.
