thank you doctor thirteen! this is kind words from you. much appreciate.
a white man saves everybody because white men create indiana jones and the story. they can do what they want when it is there creation and legend.
if you are pissed about white man saving indian peoples then get indian peoples to create there own shit movie where indian people save indian slave.
hahahahhaah!! yes so true hahahhaah!!
i hate looking at peoples with things growing face. it is fine if you see them irl. but in movies when you want to escape from fugly people like keelai? no!
and she is shit actress to boot. and fugly. who is this fucktard pheoen wallhead bridge? they just let any woketard be in movies these days
oh i see. you are frenchmen! make sure you contact city hunter to take care of the peoples rioting in your country hahah. only he can help now! he can fire his net gun and take a few of them out at once haha.
hahahah pat morita! that sounds like good fun sneaking in. so you were just kid when yo see this? very wild film for kids to watch but i hope you had fun
that is too bad this cinema place close. at least you have good memory of this place and it live on in your minds. and yes, i agree, good movies like pred 2 are now thing of the past
did you like shane black's predator and predators?
your welcome steves
1. yes. in pred spaceship they have large trophy cabinet and there appear to be a huge monster that look like t-rex, or something close. so pred hunt huge monsters across galaxy.
2. yes this is good point. i think city hunter "pussyface" is reckless as well. he may not be brave, but it take more guts to jump into middle of room with heavily armed goons than it does to sucker punch elite warriors like "anytime" do. both have there faults though which is why both end up pwned.
yes i think pred's self destruct would destroy "300 city blocks" according to keyes in predator 2. if you add fallout, many people would die in socal regions. although with the nuke in predator 1, dutch survives despite being max 100 yards from blast point.
3. yes steves hahah. pussyface is like han solo, although han was getting that bounty hunter before he got han - pointing gun right at him, while danny was just trespassing in penthouse. maybe pred have honor code of no tresspassing? and he must enforce this?
4. no i think the pred had come specifically to that alley to get king willie - he follow harrigan there but when he see willie, he know who willie is.
willie mentions "the spirit world" and that he can "feel predator all around". pred is the same - he feels willie, he knows willie is vicious hunter of humans, a head cheese, a lion in that jungle - he knows those were willie's goons in the penthouse and they were evil. willie would be big trophy for pussyface.
yes i agree pitt. anna's speech is highlight of movie. "the demon who make trophys of man". when you add alan silvestri's great score to this part, it makes it such powerful scene, gives depth and real mystery to film!
yeah i remember it say predator is set in central american jungle on promo material i once read. i think pred is set in fictional country val verde which was reuse by other action movie from 80s and 90s like commando and die hard 2, although in trivia section it say the map they are looking at in beginning is of flat land in Brazil haha.
yes great point pitt. things would be falling down all around predator when thing of his size is hiding in branches (he may have had special device to make him lighter, but i would have to consult the wikia nerdlinger pages to find out)
throughout the whole movie, even from earliest scene when they first land in jungle, it show every member of team looking up into trees all the time. so they hear the predator, just cannot see him, while billy can feel his presence.
that is why dutch is able to put clues together at end and solve what is happening - knew he was being tracked/watched whole time
i think you were still kind of right pitt, blain was more or less kill first along with hawkins. they kill pretty much at same time, like mac and dillon. pred kills in pairs.
i think pred might target blain first, but he go for hawkins because he run away from his position deep into jungle to chase the POW. it was too good an opportunity for pred to miss - he get to kill and remove body before anyone else get there.
in pred 1 i always think the pred has only 2 weapons. in predator 2 they give him an arsenal. i agree with your targets - i would go for minigun and dutch first.
i think the first thing they do is question girl after hawkins is killed and she say to them "jungle came alive and take him". dillon and co have tunnel visions, they are convinced they are just being follow by a group of sappers playing with their minds. so they dismiss her as being too shook up by seeing hawkins kill. only when dutch figure out more, they really question her.
yes great point pitt, this is true. good strategys from predator to take out biggest threat first (just 2 mins after coke bottle hawkins) and also guy with minigun. i never think of this before. it is true.
yes when blain is shot, it is confusing scene. my personal thought is i think the first shot either miss blaine, or is meant to distract blain, or stun him, before final blow
i do some research on nerdlinger sites and find this explanation:
<blockquote>"Following the destruction of the camp, Hawkins was killed by the Jungle Hunter as the team moved towards the extraction point. The others subsequently spread out to search for Hawkins' missing body and Blain became the hunter's next victim. After initially missing with its Speargun, grazing Blain's shoulder, the Predator finished him off with its Plasmacaster, blowing a hole clean through Blain's chest. The Predator then attempted to drag Blain's corpse away, but was thwarted by Mac, who fired upon the hunter and forced it to flee."</blockquote>
the weapon use is some kind of speargun. this scene was probably film when the predator was originally a giant goofy alien like something out of star treks and he use a speargun that he carry around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A1GfUoB0kog
when stan winston was hired he come in and change it so predator has only plasma caster on shoulder. i think this is why blain's death is awkward - he is being killed by original predator and his shit gun. so it does not fit with what we see later.
yes exactly putt, the predator observe them and see they are worthy prey. you cant get better hunt than elite us special forces. i think the 1980s have ingenious ideas. very talented and creative peoples think up these great storys and film.
hahaha jim harper. yes i know what you mean. i always think he say jim hoppah. arnold's accent very strong. he come from rural town in austria and rural towns i read always have stronger accent. but yes he is jim hopper. i think you can just make out his name on dog tags that dutch pick up.
they film fmj in england mainly because stanley kubrick would not leave england hahaha. weird man! he certainly have talent but his movies are weird like him.
yes i agree pitt, i too was never huge fan of fmj. it is too cold. it is not warm hearted like platoon with characters like elias, king etc. film is too mean spirit.
yes they find terrain that look like ia drang in georgia. they make lot of effort to match it up at least.
the comic book nam movies of 80s like missing in actions and rambos went to mexico which i thought was ok.
hahahaha thank you pitt i take that compliment
yes the film set up these elite special forces units at beginning. first you get to dutch and his history in mission briefing room & you get to know the team on the chopper ride into jungle
... this perfect intro then pay off when you get to see there power unleashed in 10 min of total badassery. mini guns, m60s, rocket/grenade launchers, satchel charges etc etc. dutch even uses truck as moving claymore. they blow these commie rebels to kingdom come.
then the ultimate hunters get hunted by the ultimate hunter - movie perfections
WWS was film in georgia usa, same as green berets. there excuse was ia drang valley look exactly the same as terrain they film WWS in, georgia. im not so sure. i see pictures of ia drang and it look like se asia to me. WWS would be so much better if they film in se asia.
fmj was film in london docklands (hue scenes) and everywhere else was english countryside with fake palm trees. they could not even get hueys - they rent choppers from english army that were ancient sikorsky helicopters from 1820s. such an inauthentic movie hahah.
also you cannot miss fmj because of the sky - europe always have distinct thick grey clouds/lack of sun and you see them in every scene in fmj hahahahaahha
yes you are right pitt. tour of duty was film in hawaii, but only in first season. they relocation production to south california for later seasons
tropic thunder was film in hawaii too, and while this does not quite look like nam, you can tell at least that it isn't usa or england and that is important.
platoon, apocalypse now and casualties of war are goat nam because there settings play important part (and this also apply to born on the 4th of july and heaven & earth, too). they feel real, like you right there in nam.
yes i agree pitt. pearl harbor was entertaining. it is 3 hour long, but moves fast and action is very good, and josh hartnett gets shot in the end so its okay.
i do not remember still pictures scene in wws but yes, there was problems in the movie. i think mel gibson should have directed this film. i think he would make it better. i agree the bayonet charge was ott.
yes. if the thomas bros did not use this word in any of there scripts or novel, then it should never be mention. some nerdlinger who write fan fiction does not get to use shit word and have it be official. only thing offical in pred universe is jim and john thomas.
fan fiction is no cannon. predator is the name of the species - the predator hunting species. then you have jungle hunter aka "anytime" in predator 1. then you have city hunter aka "pussyface" in predator 2. that is it. there is no yautja. only fantards use this word
and dutch's team are special forces, not mercs. the fantards call them mercs for some reason. dutch and co were conformed as special forces in predator 2, proving that fanboys have no clue about predator.
can you please tell where the fuck 'the yautja' come from. who invent this word? i see it all over pred fan fiction. it is dumbest name i ever see for bad ass like predator.
that is decrapio's multi million dollars PR firm at work. his butt boy was his friend.
this is eyewitness account i find from googles search
<blockquote>the next day, Ferguson got Berkley’s phone number from Tenzer and began calling her at home. He left several messages inviting Berkley to join them for dinner that night. When Berkley ignored the messages, one of Tenzer’s assistants called and said that the talent agent needed to speak with her. When Berkley called Tenzer, she asked Berkley to reconsider Ferguson’s invitations. According to Berkley:
The first thing Karen said was, ‘Why didn’t you call Jay back? She said, ‘Your presence is requested here.’ Her tone was very impatient. And I said, ‘What, are you trying to deliver me to these guys, Karen?’ And she said, ‘Well, you know.’
When Berkley told Wilson what was going on, he decided to intervene. He went down to Asia de Cuba where DiCaprio and his friends were having dinner. DiCaprio had a posse of about a dozen people including Ferguson, Tenzer, Gabriel Byrne and Julia Ormand. When Wilson arrived at the table, Ferguson jumped up and asked Wilson to step outside. Wilson accepted and the two of them vacated the restaurant.
According to testimony from the restaurant’s chief of security, <b>DiCaprio said to the rest of the table, “Let’s go kick his ass.” </b>And everyone except Byrne and Ormand followed him to the front of the restaurant where a fight was brewing. DiCaprio was flanked by security while his friends taunted Wilson. Tenzer was trying too late to make the peace.
<b>One of DiCaprio’s friends, Todd Healy, punched Wilson in the Adam’s apple</b>. Wilson doubled over. Wilson’s larynx was damaged. He filed a $45 million dollar lawsuit against three of the men involved including DiCaprio who Wilson claimed incited the violence.</blockquote>
girly man is guilty as sin hiding behind his butt boys
i do not think he feel deep regret. he too busy lecture peoples about climate from this super yacht of debauch.
yes i see difference there yes.
yes many woman can look semi fugly without make ups but i think that woman and many like her is lucky as she still look ok without makeup.
just imagine what keelai the hutt and all her sock account look like! you could put 10 ton of make up on these hideous beast and they still look like circus freak.
yes pitt i agree about scenes in we were soldiers showing the wifes. that was the first thing i think of when i think of problems with this film
if the film had came out 10 year before, then it would focus 100% on soldiers in combat. but in 21st century there is new pressure to show things like this in film to give different viewpoint for diversity audience. but a war film will live and die by pacing and story, and every scene with wife kills film stone dead. and the acting when woman find her husband dead? wow! hahahah. worst acting ever!! watch here haha: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvkCJQxhQgM
i think the scenes showing hal moore's home life at beginning were fine. all the scenes on base - great. it show background to character and depth before they fly off to battle. then the scenes with wifes on base come and this kill momentum of battle scene haha.
another problem with film is it is filmed in usa. you cannot film nam films in usa. they must be film in places like philippines and thailand, like platoon and casualties of war. these settings give authentic feels to movie, a quality you cant describe, it so important. this film suffer like full metal jacket where you know you are not in nam.
your classmate sound like drama queen. thin red line is weird but not bad hahahah. i did not mind it. very strange but many good actor and at least the film look good.
wow you are very lucky to see this film when it first come out! i envy this haha. are you sure you dont mean you see it on thanksgiving? i thought it come out on thanksgiving in usa? is labor day same as thankgiving?
for me, being around to watch classic films from this era when they first come out, this is like being alive to see moon landing or ww2 ending or kennedy assassinte. that is how important these film are. so you are blessed! they will never make film of this quality again - especially now they have woketards behind the camera in hollywood and so no chance you will see manly magic of film like pred 2 again.
yes i have watched this interview when it first come out. incredible it have only 4000 views! but thank you anyway for link, imdbghost, much appreciate. i may have to watch it again hahahah. i like the interview brah with the sunglass and also limey nerdlinger - these enthusiastic predator fans are great & keep the flame alive.
lots of great info for pred fans in this interview. interesting that the guys who play the jamaican voodoo pussys were just random peoples they grab off street. that penthouse scene could only come out in 1990 - very wild hahahah. i think today this would not be allowed hahah
it show you what a great man stephen hopkins is that he give so much of his time to fans of predator 2. that shows you the passion that peoples still have for predator 2 from the film makers to fans - we all have passion. so many directors of big hollywood films from the past would not even give 5 mins of there time, but hopkins give near 2 hours. maybe he can release his own director cut?
very good you talk to this man john herren pitt. veterans appreciate it when you talk to them and give respects.
yes i read of this great man rick rescorla in youtube comments section of ia drang video i post above. wow, what a brave man! a hero on battlefield and a hero on 9/11. i hear he would sing to peoples to calm them as he was helping them to escape building. great man! so many great man fight in war, it is shame the hippies abuse them when they return to usa in 60s and 70s.
when you say you watch scenes from that movie, do you mean we were soldiers or platoon? because if it is we were soldier, im sorry pitt but i do not remember! i remember everything from platoon and have not watched it from beginning to end in long time, and i watch we were soldier recently hahah. platoon is unforgettable film, every scene and character burned into brain, but we were soldiers i think is just decent 7/10 film and forgettable in many things in it. it could have been better i think!
yes pitt you are right about end of platoon, i agree with you. it is not firebase, it it just basecamps. they say they are bait to lure nva out. they are trying to put plug into entry point from ho chi minh trail of nva coming over border. they are near charlie epicenter. i think the captain is talking to man in jungle who went out on patrol to get charlie, not man at firebase. yes he meant chinese new year i think!
