Yes, the prop was built from fiberglass by the WB prop department. One of the people involved was Kevin Pike who supervised the Delorean Time machine builds in Back to the Future.
After the movie, the prop was rescued and restored. It was in a museum in or around Los Angeles for a short time, then went to Movieworld in Australia we’re is was used as decoration for some of the the attractions. I contacted Movieworld a few years ago and they said it was removed and probably sent back to the states. I’m guessing it’s one of WB’s warehouses now.
