"<b>The big mistake here--and Night has even acknowledged it--was mis-marketing the movie as a terrifying creature feature. Audiences left feeling like there was a bait-and-switch. But if you put aside expectations and watch the film for what it is, you find that it's an excellent piece of artistry with a lot to say about innocence, love and human nature.</b>"
I completely agree. When I first saw this in theaters, I didn't like it and felt I had been duped. Years later I watched it again for what it is and it's now one of most favorite films. It's a beautifully crafted story about love and bravery, among other things.
lenny gets taken. permanently.
🤣🤣🤣
It's not that Jonas and Martha shouldn't have happened in the origin world. It's that <i>their two worlds</i> shouldn't have been created from the origin world. That was a mistake. Once the mistake was corrected and the two worlds no longer existed, it is quite possible that both Jonas and Martha would end up existing in the origin world. In fact, at the end, Hannah says she likes the name Jonas for her unborn baby.
I know it's been a couple years, but your response seriously made me laugh
It's left to interpretation but yes, killed them and then herself too
I thought it was pretty clear that they did it because they hated her and blamed her for their mother's death. They're kids, aged 12 and 17. Kids do dumb shyte and at that age aren't thinking about consequences. Pretty sure they weren't thinking that she'd go completely nuts.
