Currently I'm working thru the Audiobook of "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand...
and reading "Battlefield Earth: A Saga in the Year 3000" by L.Ron Hubbard...
Unfortunately the movies of both left much to be desired...much more so with Battlefield Earth.
I think if they used the same actors for the characters in all three parts of Atlas Shrugged it would have been a much better production overall...
I think Ferris Bueller has him beat:
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
"I do have a test today, that wasn’t bullshit. It’s on European socialism. I mean, really, what’s the point? I’m not European. I don’t plan on being European. So who gives a crap if they’re socialists? They could be fascist anarchists, it still doesn’t change the fact that I don’t own a car."
"Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism’s in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, “I don’t believe in Beatles, I just believe in me.” Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I’d still have to bum rides off people."
I'd have to go with:
The Doors
The Saint
Wonderland
But honorable mentions go to Real Genius, Heat and Alexander.
I've always felt he was an under-appreciated actor that never reached his full potential. Somehow I think politics had something to do with that...it seems that if you don't lean left in Hollywood you are given the "gasp" McCarthy Treatment...
Land of the Lost...a Sid and Marty Krofft Production...
Man, they had some classic Sat Morning Cheese...
Electra Woman & Dyna Girl
The Bay City Rollers Show (Yes, I even had their album)
Sigmund and the Sea Monsters
H.R. Pufnstuf
The Banana Splits
Good times...good times indeed... :D
Weren't Sat Morning cartoons so much more enjoyable before they had to teach a life lesson or push an agenda?
