Personally, I find she has an exquisitely interesting face to watch on screen, & I enjoy her performances. Top of the Lake was a highlight for me. I think it’s always refreshing to see actors in leading roles who don’t fit into the conventional mold. She’s not classically beautiful by Hollywood standards but I definitely would not consider her ugly. She’s so emotive & unusual looking, I think it makes her quite stunning, actually.
