Donny could see into the future, as he discussed with his teacher on the future tunnel. Was he following the tunnel of God's timeline when he stayed in bed, or when he was away when the engine fell? I don't believe we're supposed to know. When the timeline/tunnel changed because he changed his action because of the foreknowledge, none of the other events happened, such as the fire causing mom to have to take sister on the jet. When the engine DID fall and kill Donny, we do not see that where it came from was a mystery. It likely was not. A question for me is, was Frank traveling back in time to influence Donny? Was he part of the cause or part of the effect, or both? The rabbit was always Franks halloween costume, so the rabbit was always Frank. We see the "love guru" in trauma when Donny dies. Since his dungeon wasn't discovered because there was no fire, did God cause him to repent with the changed present? [quote}Now back in the present he is laughing hysterically in his bed because he now know that he brought balance back to the universe, and therefore he saved his mother, his sister, Frank and his love etc... he is not alone and by dying himself he also know that the future would not repeat itself as he was the catalyst to it all. His sacrifice is ultimately to him also his salvation.[/quote] Yes! However, he didn't cause the engine to fall off. It was going to fall off. He just had to be in his bed when it fell off, to change the future tunnel.
