I guess you meant Metal Gear Solid 2? Indeed it is my favourite game of all times, and it did it much better than this movie. The movie itself was indeed entertaining most of the time, but I can't excuse them for the most disappointing ending that I have seen for a long time. It just made no sense at all, and lost the main plot direction. Making it "open ended" doesn't make it smart and sophisticated, but instead it became unsatisfying and a huge let down. It felt like they forgot what they had wanted to tell in this movie by totally taking it to a different direction in the last minute.
