I think he smashed them between their cars. Their cars were parked either hood to hood or one behind the other and they were sitting on the bumpers while they were talking and after the screaming when the mom looked out the window the space between the two cars was gone and the one cop was stuck between them. I think he rammed his car into the back end of one of theirs so it rammed into the other and they were between them. It looked like all he brought with him was the gas and the big rock because he finished them off with the rock and only noticed the gun on the ground because the downed cop was trying to get to it when the villain killed him
