The Danny Thomas one is my second favorite, so many good scenes! When Danny is nuzzling her neck! haha. I'm currently watching the Japan episode, makes me sad I'm near the end.
I never thought about it like this, but I think you're right! They could have said Judith was at Michael's house babysitting. Her and her bf hooked up in the parents bed and he killed her. John Carpenter didn't write the movie with sequels in mind so I guess it didn't matter at the time. But would have been a good idea for haters of the sister angle. For me, I'm like you, I don't mind the sister angle.
I agree with you! I think the loud chewing would drive me nuts. But close second would have to be Ricky's tapping lol. That would be annoying haha.
The one that me and my family have always enjoyed so much was 'country club dance' with Barbara Eden. It's hysterical. Also one of my favorites is 'Ricky And Fred are TV Fans'
I was taking my lunch break today and on pluto they have 24/7 Lucy so I put the channel on and there was "Drafted". I had not seen it in years and like you, while still not my favorite, It was funnier then I remembered. When they stuff everyone in the closet, that was pretty funny!
For season one, I love "Ricky thinks he's getting bald" and "Ricky asks for a raise" probably the best. But "the seance" is very cute.
It looks great on peacock, HD quality.
Yes, of course I love Lucy was the best. And I agree about the Lucy show Christmas episode, that was a good one!
Exactly!
For sure!
Yes, I haven't gotten a 4K tv yet, even though I work on many 4k shows at work(I work in tv production). But my TV is starting to go so hopefully getting one next year. Other than TV shows I have a huge horror movie collection, I'm a big horror fan. But like you, I find myself not collecting as many DVDs or Blu rays as I used to, just because there aren't a ton of Movies and TV shows that currently stand out.
Ah good point. Maybe Ethel told her? Because isn't there one scene where Lucy is on the phone and Sylvia couldn't get through, so she had to call Ethel? Maybe Ethel mentioned it.
I'm a younger viewer and I love physical media and always have. So I own the series on DVD.
Here are the other series I own:
Dick Van Dyke show
Mary Tyler Moore show
Bewitched
Three's company
Laverne & Shirley
Alice
The Lucy Show
Here's Lucy
Friends (blu ray)
Seinfeld
You're absolutely right. She was a genius. There is a very long interview with Madelyn Pugh and Bob Carol Jr. on the television archive youtube page and they give Lucy a lot of credit. I was surprised at how 'in awe' of her they still seemed to be all those years later.
Even the vitameataveginmin episode, where when she takes a spoonful, she shudders, I mean she does it in such an incredibly funny way. She's the best!
Season 5 had some good ones. One of my favorites is actually 'return home from Europe' with Lucy on the plane pretending the cheese is her baby. The part where she drinks the baby formula is so funny!
"Lucy's bicycle trip" always makes me mad that they don't just let her through! It's so frustrating lol
There were so many great facial expressions on both Lucy and Desi!
One I remember from Lucy is from 'Lucy goes to Monte Carlo' and she makes up a lie that it was Ethel's money, that says 'if im lying may i drop dead' and looks up at the ceiling and flinches lol. That always cracks me up!
I've always liked that movie of hers "the fuller brush girl' she was hysterical in that.
I noticed that too, in season 3 and early season 4 her hair was darker than later in season 4 and by season 6, it looks very light. In the first season though it looked kind of light, then in season 3 it got darker. Not sure why she changed the shades back and forth. Maybe it was just boredom. If you watch the movie 'the long long trailer' which was filmed in color around the time of season 3, her hair was a darker red, in some scenes it almost looks brownish, depends on the lighting. By the time they did 'forever darling' her hair was a much lighter red.
Very interesting! Maybe the drunk one was the woman who almost fell down the stairs. In the scene one of the stars wives is about to dash away when Don Loper stopped her to show off the inside of her jacket. It could have been her. But that's just a guess obviously haha.
I heard about that book, sounds like a fascinating read!
Wow, never knew that! Always wondered why there was a step in the first apartment!
