Its funny this is brought up because we couldnt seem to agree on how Rose died! We tried but to no avail! I think this theory is a bit far fetched but I wish there was a more solid answer out there!
Im conflicted on this point. While I agree that the whole town seemed to get together to keep her in Ireland she didnt seem to push back all that hard until the old woman essentially black mailed her. I couldnt tell if she really wanted to go back to America or if she went because she had been called out.
I gotta say watching this I really didnt appreciate the values aspect until reading this. I was so turned off by her choices that I really didnt appreciate the other parts of the film. Thank you for sharing this!
We debated this on our podcast. We could not figure out when exactly he became financially prudent to fly rather than boat. Thanks for posting this it definitely puts things in perspective!
