I didn't think the final showdown was anti-climatic at all. But yeah, the fact that it was a small, contained battle, instead of a big, vanilla action set-piece was a delight. Just a little more originality, prolonged tension and perhaps a smidge more violence would've been nice. Nevertheless, it's solid as it is.
Agreed, really enjoyed this one. Bernthal surprised me with his restrained performance and Abbott was good as ever, this time in psycho mode.
It could've used a bit more oomph in its resolution, but the excellent cinematography, decent score and, as you said, fantastic atmosphere make it a delight. A shame it's gotten such a low rating on IMDb.
He does indeed, but not on the fucking freeway with cops on his ass. The designer fucked up.
