Not including Crowe as an afterlife voice of guidance was a dubious choice. Not sure why they did that. Studio probably didn’t wanna meet his financial demands and instead decided to commit all that cash to Denzel for a more titular role. This is much better than Romulus which was a 4/10. This is a 7. It was good. Not as good as 1 but of course not. Go in with tempered expectations. I think they wrapped a nice bow on the intentions of the first film. Most definitely doesn’t need a 3rd and doubt there will be 1. Rooting for? The movie is pure fiction. The cast is just acting as they’re directed to act. The issue isn’t with the actors - it’s with the messaging of the director. Clear messaging. The movie itself was fine. Even decent. But you just have to laugh at the portrayals of the races at this point. Now you have blacks playing Capt America. Blacks playing Annie. Constant inter-racial couples in film. Even the next Bond is rumored to be black lmao. All that stuff is whatever. Silly but whatever. Painting every white person as a devil while every minority is wholesome is just pure racism. Imagine if Paul Rudd was cast to play Black Panther. Or every black person in a film was a piece of sh*t while every white person was righteous and holy. How would you treat it? I think we know the answer. Saw it. Liked it better than Ad Astra. Couldn’t finish that. I don’t disagree with that. Doesn’t mean it’s not woke. It’s just the choices of the ethnicities on each side were no coincidence. And deliberate. I don’t understand the high scores for this. It was standard issue. Nothing new except a half man-half alien 7’7 basketball player in an alien suit. Bc Zoe Kravitz wanted to empower standard issue black women being able to overpower the white devil. Makes it more “powerful” when the black woman isn’t a supermodel. *cringe*. Whole premise was just silly. Attractive tech billionaire isn’t bamboozling some plain Jane chick to his private island to drug and rape at his leisure for months to years lmao. So dumb. Non answer is an answer. K. Where’s the lie? Zombie clearly can’t make anything else that isn’t an abject failure so I could get behind a prequel showing the beginnings of the Firefly family and Capt Spaulding. Problem is Sid Haig is dead and so is the 7’7 guy. It would have to be completely centered on Otis and Baby - which I guess could work. Well the guy never ever smiles and just seems like a real d*ckbag. The irony is his wife is a huge animal rights activist. People that love animals are usually decent humans to their core. Maybe they just like animals more than other people. Something i can kinda appreciate but Zombie always came across as a huge d*ckhead. Every single movie he’s done besides this and TDR were absolutely horrendous. He should stop making them. For me it was a 6 or a 7. It will probably end up around 7.2 or something when it settles. I liked the ending but the pacing to get there was very slow. My guess? In flashback form only. I think she needed to be killed off to set the stage for his reunion with Michelle Monaghan at the very end of Part 8. It’s the end of the series after all. Them reuniting only makes sense. I also am 99% sure Monaghan will be uncredited to not bury the lead. Does anyone care about those small characters? Not enough to have another season. Agree completely. It’s just too slow. A solid 2-2:30 hour movie where things develop more quickly - like in Click or Inception - would be better. I’m thru 5 eps which is almost 5 hrs of viewing and it’s getting monotonous. Might not finish. Yep. I tried. Couldn’t finish. Well. I didn’t pay. I snuck in after Abigail. Hahaha. Her movies are for weirdos. Her partner is Shia LeBeouf. She’s obv an a$$hole and I think her movies are weird and sh*tty. I haven’t been able to finish any of them.
