You think 1 is bizarre but Superman having a cellophane S or having the power to make Lois forget everything with a kiss isn’t?
1 is only boring if you just want straight action. It’s a great origin story and sets up the characters well.
Just seemed kinda quick to go from some of the most well known movies to b-level junk. I wonder if they had better agents…we will never know.
I do like Superman 2 the best but part 1 was a better made movie.
I hear ya. It isn’t a good movie for sure. Maybe I just like it for the sentimental part of watching it as a kid
Good point on the cast. Mark Pillow as nuclear man with his voiced dubbed over by Gene Hackman was terrible.
Agreed. Not sure when they are going over the script if someone would say, you know this isn’t the best ending for this…
Agreed. Jim Gaffigan is usually pretty funny too but as a sex offender? The laughs just never happened.
I’m not sure if it was normal for the time as it was before I was born but the fact that he not only went against her wishes and told Guy she called him and then of course sedated her, that was an awful betrayal. She had no one to turn to at that point.
It’s actually pretty good.

All these years later I have always thought it was Braden getting Cho to the U.S. to smuggle his grugs. I still think that has to be it though simply because Braden was a ninja and why else would he conceal that from Cho?
I just now watched it for the first time and it’s even worse than I would’ve thought. Awful remake and awful movie in general.

There is no knowable answer. Not from believers and not from aethiests. Seriously, how can anyone believe matter just happened. And the whole structure of DNA just happened. That’s idiotic. But then there is the question as to why God hasn’t interfered in things like the Holocaust. So ultimately, I think we all need to agree that NOBODY KNOWS. Have faith if you want but there is no true answer.
Agreed. People saying they had to cut him out due to run time but that’s just ridiculous. Omitting an entire sibling and not even mentioning that yet another comitted suicide? That’s 3 of 6 brothers!
