Yes, I jumped the gun before reading through the forums. It's very sad and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I am guessing that she was, for a brief moment the center of attention as a character study and an extra in the movie.
Iris' role is as believable as they come and the small details of the type of life lived in that profession make the difference.
It's a complicated movie that I have watched many times.
