Studios would make cheaper movies if not for the foreign market. Same movies, just cheaper. And actors would take wage cuts too otherwise they wouldn't be able to act anymore.

As much as I loved the sequel, the original was better overall. The sequel was bigger and carries the story of the Guardians along very well. The soundtrack in the sequel was also better. However, just like The Avengers, the Guardians can only be put on the screen together for the first time, once. That was special. Take nothing away from the sequel. Both are fantastic! The first was just better. It didn't feel like the jokes were forced and no scene felt like a filler.
