Sebastian made a really big mistake. He should have just trusted Ariel. I bought that 8 years ago and I watch it in French with English subtitles since it has been adapted from Charles Perrault's story. I have it on DVD and since the opening credits says this film is based on "Sleeping Beauty" by Charles Perrault, I play it in French with English subtitles. I just wish that after Shelby Eatenton (played by Julia Roberts) died that there could have been a scene where there was a video tape surfacing in which she expressed her love for her husband, Jackson Latcherie Sr. (played by Dylan McDermott) and son, Jackson Latcherie Jr. (played by C. Houser at age 1 and Daniel Camp at age 3) and her wish for them, her parents, Drum and M'Lynn Eatenton (played by Tom Skeritt and Sally Field) and 2 brothers, Tommy and Jonathan Eatenton (played by Knowl Johnson and Jonathan Ward) to all stay together as a family. And here is what I imagine could have been said then; Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie: Jack, sweetheart, this is for you and I hope that you never have to see this but just in case, I want you to have something from me other than the life that I gave you and I want you to know that Daddy and I wanted you so much and you were more than we ever could have hoped for. Our precious little boy and you were everything we could have ever dreamed and I am leaving you with a lot of wonderful people to love. We have been together ever since the day you were born and we will always be together. So, love Daddy, Grandma M'Lynn, Grandpa Drum, Uncle Tommy and Uncle Jonathan as they love you and respect them and make them proud of you. I leave your future happiness in their hands and forgive me, my son if I have to leave you but know that no matter where you are, I will always be with you and love you forever and ever and ever. Yeah and imagine Jenny shoving her guitar at Forrest on stage when he was only trying to help her. I bet it was like getting slapped in the face by a woman when you're only trying to help her. I guess sometimes women just want to help themselves. What I have to say about An-Mei's mother (Rose's grandmother and Jennifer's great grandmother) being disowned by her family is that you cannot ever throw your kid away no matter what. I know right. In that scene where Chris went to tell Jake's sister what happened, I thought, "That's Jake's sister. Why didn't she recognize Chris?" Yeah and also when Junior escaped from him with the money, Ben gave him, I wish he could have ran to a payphone at the circus, dialed 911 and was like in Ben's voice, "Help! The bow tie killer is chasing after my son. We're at the Midway Circus at 3921 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. My name's Healy." and then hung up and started running again and was like, "Here I am, Uncle Marty! Come and get me before I call the police!" and then was like, "Hey, Uncle Marty, I'm calling the cops."
