Yeah, this one was for kids; and little ones at that. No Indians, no tragic death or suffering of any of the animals. Buck was silly and had the deductive capacity of an NYPD detective. I was half expecting him to practice emergency medicine on Thornton after he was shot by the inexplicably hyper-motivated villain
This is a very eloquent and thoughtful summary. I’m sorry I’m the first to respond so many years later
I agree. The whole Fran going to meet a known murderer at a dark, abandoned laundromat was in and of itself ridiculous
When Marta and Harlan were in the study though, he did say something about how Marta had suggested he stop supporting family members. I can’t recall exactly what he said but the writers clearly suggested Marta was manipulating Harlan.
Holy cow man. You need to watch On Golden Pond and relax a little
Riiiiiight. And what would be written if she made generalized racist comments about her trip to Mexico? It’s still safe for Hollywood to stereotype conservatives. For this movie the writers needed to show their PC bona fides to provide cover. There is no other reason for Anniston’s character to go on the Orange County diatribe out of the middle of nowhere like that.
Nah, the movie was designed to make her look naive and out of her element. Go back and watch the scene when she bumps her head in the tunnel. They wanted her to be seen as a goof by the end when the war was really on
Taylor couldn’t just “blow away” the girl because then it would prove Berlin was right about the existence of a serial killer. He had to make it look like an accident by maybe pushing her down the stairs (which is what Berlin warns about right before rushing to the institute). So, Taylor had to get close enough to her to grab her and set up a mortal accident
Thanks for the spoiler warning /sarcasm/
I don’t think you understand his math
