Only the alphabet people would be offended. I thought it was hilarious. Can't you do it here? Aren't porn "actors" in the database? People on moviechat.org don't like horror movies. This board has been dead since they established this place, which is rather odd, considering how epic the genre is. There are alternatives. I built a forum that categorizes movie talk to genre boards as well as individual title boards. Not only does it do everything that moviechat does and more, but it also has tourettes, and is haunted. Dawn is the best! Followed by Night, Day, and Land. Survival was pretty bad, and Diary was REALLY bad. Mandy sucked. Artsy and atmospheric, but it takes far too long to get going. Once it does get going, it's alright. Imagine Nicolas Cage doing cocaine in his underwear while screaming. That's Mandy for ya. Hereditary was creepy as hell. I know it's Hollywood, but it's top-notch. "Megan is Missing" (2011) also did a number on me. Couldn't get that out of my head for days. Yikes! I like aspects of the culture, as I used to be a skateboarder, but still mostly an outsider to that whole scene. Too much of an introvert, but I still find that kind of thing fascinating. I'm drawn to trashy things, so naturally, I love Harmony Korine, John Waters, etc. Larry Clark and his raw approach to angsty teens seems quality enough for me. I've actually really liked all the Larry Clark movies I've seen. It's only a few, "Kids", "Ken Park", and the best of them all, "Bully". He captures that whole skater-punk/juvenile-delinquent culture really well, and I'd love to see more of his films. Kind of hard to get a hold of though... This site makes it so easy to reply to the right post, and you can't even do that... I use facebook for chatting, google/bing for searches, tumblr for porn, and TrashEpics.com for horror/b-movie/exploitation recs. I check Imdb2 and FilmBoards, but rarely post there. http://trashepics.com/dump/file/1/cornbugs_bag.jpg There she is. Kind of just a bag with an advertisement on it, really. If it were a real Cornbugs bag, it'd have buckethead, and rotten meat, and licked-plates. To be honest, I'm not sure a lot of people know who the Cornbugs are. When I met Bill Moseley, I told him I loved Cornbugs, and he gave me a cornbugs Halloween candy bag. I have it hidden away somewhere, because the only things that matter are the sentimental things, you know? Plus, I got his "Spider Mountain" album, signed. Gotta love horror conventions. I wonder if he'll return for the next Devil's Rejects movie. Rob Zombie is working on the script, apparently... I've been around. The crappy ads usually scare me off, but I ain't seeing any now, so I thought I'd disgrace this place with my presence. Cornbugs is the best. I watched his "Louie" episode about masturbation earlier, and I thought it was great. I've always enjoyed his self-deprecating sense of humor. They probably wouldn't sell in most theaters. Movie theaters are dying out a bit. I work at one, and we're only busy when there's a holiday or a good movie coming out. Other than that, it's pretty dead. A lot of these old b-movies wouldn't draw in much of a crowd. Last month, we did show the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, for a single screening, and less than half of the theater was occupied. Only weirdos like me go to these things. My site of old horror board regs will be hosting an October challenge. You're bound to get plenty of recs there, should you wish. http://TrashEpics.com Yeah... it's absolutely true. (Disney's) Marvel doesn't take chances, and it gets a little stale, but the movies are still pretty fun. I loved Spider-Man: Homecoming, for the most part. I really, really, really HATED how they paid no attention to the timeline and continuity of the series, but the rest of it was fun. I'm all about horror, B-movies, and exploitation. I prefer R-rated stuff, because it's not watered down. This naturally makes crime movies pretty desirable to me, too. Most genres can be cool if they utilize the right elements. I think some fantasy/sci-fi can be great, as well as violent action movies. Or drug movies. I'm a man of trash, and I like it dirty. That kind of thing makes it sound like the admin is reading users private messages. Why would people want to follow someone who doesn't respect their privacy? I'd try to be cheerful, but I really can't be sure of the dates with Romero movies. Dawn, for example, has noted releases in '78 and '79. Martin is another that I've seen listed as '76, '77, and '78. IMDb had them all listed at one point, so I'm pretty confused about Romero's 70s movie release dates. Great movie, nonetheless. A goddamn classic!
