The film had great actors in Pansy, her sister and her husband,,, but it dragged on for me, and the first half was filled with yelling and tension it kind of brought down my mood. We are only left to speculate what really happened with Pansys mom, and her husbands mom. I wouldve liked more details, and not left up to the viewer to ponder. All in all the acting was on point, but I shall forget this film soon, along with so many that dont stay with me long.
I finished A Brilliant Friend , and Italian series with 4 seasons, and it was exquisite. I will remember that one for a very long time.
7 years later I am here again lol
Great tidbit thanks! I thought Vera was exceptional in her facial emotions. The film was good, but wished I saw more of the backstory of herself and her children.
Yeah I wished he visited him in the hospital to confront him. That definitely was more than spit on the coat.
I agree! I need to feel the front of the house is pristine and clean. He did not in the very least, depict that.
I didnt know that. Thats cool, but unfortunately Im reading too many comments that the back and forth of the Faks was not very well received by the viewers and I admit I am one of them. I actually rolled my eyes by the 5th scene of them. Overkill.
Season one was the best season for me.. Im the type that has to finish a series unless its total crap, so I forged on. I thought season 3 had too much unnecessary filler.. too many quips with the Faks boys that went on too long, the sprinkling of Claire when it shouldve been more than that. Carmine was stuck in a freezer last season and went on to ruin his relationship. They shouldve gave that more air time. But if theres a season 4 I will watch it all...because Im loyal like that. Lol
Same here..I am fascinated by the behind the scenes restaurant life, and although I feel the chaos was a bit much in all 3 seasons, it still depicted what really goes on.. Problem in season 3 was the Faks constant comedic stints, the non conclusion of Claire and Carmine, and the non results of the reviews on the restaurant.
I couldnt take those guys..I kept saying to myself oh my god not another shtick routine yet again. So much time wasted on needless banter and yelling throughout the season.
Its 2024 now and I just saw the film and totally agree with you.. They all went to sleep and I took it as she was dreaming that event because of the details you stated.
I loved Fish tank. The main character had more layers than Rosetta in this film.
Film sucked
I liked it too..Just saw it tonight. I learned about the history and the settings and costumes portrayed the time well. Glad it was a film and not a series.. It was just the right amount of time.
Thanks for posting this
It certainly educated me on the history of these events. I liked it very much.
Valid question.... I took it as she wiped out everyone to keep Theo since her son passed. I dont feel she killed her own son.
I agree it couldve been better...and to let Celine stay in the house after her husband passed away was kind of ridiculous since she was suspicious of her for a long time.
She only knocked him out,,,, to kill his parents.. She never tried to kill him.
My only wish was that they kept the original actors and just aged them instead of replacing them. You will see what I mean. Nonetheless it was a beautiful series.
Just finished the last and final season 4.. Its one of a kind and I will remember it for a long long time. It made an impact on me..Not like most of the films these days where I forget about them within a few days. This was exceptional.
